Been trying to get better at finding sports card lots on eBay before they’re picked over. Ive seen Ubuyfirst mentioned once or twice. Seems like its more for catching new listings fast and checking photos etc. Anyone here tried it for card sourcing? Worth messing with, or are saved searches and comps still enough?
For people buying Pokemon as an investment, how do you handle listings where the price looks good but the photos are weak Ive seen sealed product and card lots where there might be value, but the pictures dont clearly show seals, corners, backs of cards, whitening, dents, or box damage.Part of me thinks bad photos scare off other buyers and create beter entry points. The other part thinks thats how you end up holding damaged product.
Do you message the seller, only buy if the discount is big enough, or just pass unless the photos are clear?
