Hello! I grew up in Maryland and went to college in DC but have been away for a decade. got a job in suitland so we’re looking for a place for our family with young kids. Good public schools is the highest priority to us but can’t afford expensive Montgomery county areas. Would also love to be in an area that isn’t all strip malls and chain restaurants. Columbia is my first choice but the commute seems pretty horrible…?

Edit- yep, confirmation that the commute sucks. For those of you that worked in suitland area, are there any other places that you considered moving to?

Weighing pros and cons of hyattsville, Annapolis, silver spring, and Columbia. Any other suggestions welcome!

Hello! We will be passing through Nashville on a long roadtrip with 7 and 3 year olds and we’re planning to spend a few hours in Nashville mid-day. Any recommendations for kid friendly restaurants and/or cool places to get their energy out?
