Visiting with teens. Safe places.

Hoping someone can help. The last two years I asked this about TX now it’s TN. I am traveling for soccer to the Nashville area (I think we will stay in Smyrna and Murfreesboro ) for soccer with two young teens and myself. As a female traveling alone to an unfamiliar city with kids I do get a bit stressed to keep them safe. I’m hoping to be able to explore Nashville with them 1-2 days while there but don’t know where to go and most importantly what’s safe. Any suggestions for places to see. Maybe where to park, that will be safe. Will there be toll roads. Any advice

Looking for hotel recs Dec 11-14th walkable to Broadway and Bridgestone arena.

Looking for a hotel to stay thats a safe walk to Broadway and Bridgestone arena. From my research the Drury looks to be the best rated, but ends up being $1,000 for 3 nights all in.

Im willing to pay it if it comes down to it, but asking just in case there's anything of similar quality and walkability for cheaper?

Any help is appreciated.

Anyone want to go to the Mexico World Cup watch party?

Hi everyone! I’m (23f) looking for someone to go to the Mexico World Cup watch party tonight at plaza mariachi in south nashville? I know meeting up w a stranger is potentially sketchy, but I’m staying with my mom for the summer (I’m a grad student) and have no one to go with and I don’t think it’d be safe to go alone. Preferably looking to go with another woman. If anyone is interested please reach out and we can talk!

queer friendly, fun places!

visiting nashville for a week with my girlfriend, where are some fun dive bars, clubs, honky tonks, diy shows, etc you recommend!!

I love to dance, but also appreciate a chill dive bar where people are willing to chat with you! Any screamo, punk, hc diy music would be awesome too if there’s any spots for that. I’d love to check out a honky tonk or two (i’m originally from the south so I have to go back to my roots ofc), are there any that are specifically lgbt friendly or might draw a more queer crowd?

Open to any recommendations of anything!!!

BONUS: are there any places on the outskirts of nashville that are good for swimming? swimming holes, creeks, etc. Thanks!

Action Figures Where?

Coming into town next week and was hoping to pick up some action figures. Anyone have any good recommendations on where to find primarily super hero figures (McFarlane and Marvel Legends primarily but more expensive stuff is welcome too). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Things to do that are more nature-y and less people-y?

Hello! I’ll be visiting for a few nights next month to see some bands play at the Ryman. It’s my first ever solo trip, and I’m looking for things to do that involve water or the outdoors in general, and not necessarily the city life. Or even gardens and such around the city that are worth seeing! It’ll be over the weekend (and a big city anyways), so I know it’ll be “people-y” no matter what. I get overstimulated in crowds and after the live music I know I’ll just want to explore the area with just a little less noise 🙂 I’ll take any suggestions, though! I can decompress on the 7 hour drive home when I leave if I have to 😂

But also- restaurant suggestions? Dessert places? Local coffee shops to support?!

Thanks in advance!

Nashville Micro Wedding Ideas???

Hi everyone!

My fiancé and I are planning a destination micro wedding in Nashville in April of next year and we're looking for any ideas and recommendations.

We'll have about 20 guests total and are hoping for something simple and intimate. We'd love to do a Sunday morning ceremony followed by a brunch reception.

We're trying to figure out:

-Affordable venues for a wedding of around 20–25 people

-Restaurants with private dining rooms that could host a brunch reception

-Hotels or other unique venues that work well for small weddings

-Lodging options for a group of about 21 people (hotel blocks, inns, vacation rentals, etc.)

-Any micro wedding packages you've had a good experience with

-Any other recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated!

-Are April weddings okay in TN? Unsure of rain and weather!

We're not looking for a huge traditional weddin... just something relaxed, beautiful, and budget friendly.

If you've planned a small wedding in Nashville or attended one, I'd love to hear what worked well, what you spent, and any recommendations you have!

Thanks so much! 😊

A long shot missed connection

My wife and I recently visited Nashville to attend the Nashville (The show) reunion concert at the Ryman, visit the Bluebird Cafe, and see a show at the Opry. At all three destinations we ran into an Asian family of four from Chicago that we befriended, but we never exchanged information. We'd love to connect with them if Reddit can help!

Any suggestions for affordable vacation rentals with 3 beds?

Looking for something that's under $150/night. Doesn't really even need to be in Nashville proper as we will be visiting Franklin and Lynchburg as well

Day trip for THE ODYSSEY in 70mm IMAX — breakfast & things to do near Opry Mills?

Hi, Nashville!

I'm taking a bus trip up from Memphis near the end of July to see The Odyssey in 70mm IMAX at Opry Mills. I've been to Nashville before to see Last Night in Soho in 35mm at the Belcourt, but this will be my first time spending the day around Opry Mills.

The bus gets in around breakfast time, so I'm looking for a good breakfast spot within walking distance (or a short Uber ride) before the movie.

After the screening, I'll have an hour or two to kill before my return bus that evening. Any recommendations for inexpensive things to do nearby? I'm a huge movie fan, but I'm open to museums, bookstores, arcades, interesting shops, or anything else that's worth checking out.

Thanks in advance!

Broadway bars

Hey guys, going to Nashville in about a week and wanted to ask about bars letting you in if you’re under 21. I have read on some bars’ websites that they let under 21’s in until about 8:30/9 (depending on the bar)but, after that time, will they go around checking id’s, like will I be asked to leave if I’m there after that time or should I be ok if I’m already in the venue ?

Fun place to stay close to the TriStar Centennial Medical Center end of July

I would like to find some cool places *very close* to the TriStar Centennial Medical Center for company to stay. Boutique hotels, anything funkier than the usual Marriott or whatever. Dates are July 23-26. Thank you in advance!

Music City Grand Prix weekend, where are people booking hotels?

Coming to Nashville for the Music City Grand Prix later this month and I'm realizing hotel prices are climbing faster than I expected.

I've been browsing Super.com and Booking.com, and after a while every hotel starts looking the same. Good reviews, decent price, then you zoom out and realize you have no idea whether that neighborhood is convenient for race weekend.

For anyone who's been before, what finally made you choose where to stay? Was it the neighborhood, the price, proximity to the track, or something else?

If you've booked Nashville hotels through Super before, how was your experience during a busy event weekend?
