Best place to park for frequenting the Nashville Public Library?

Im from a suburban area in Florida and I just moved here for grad school so I never did learn the ins and outs of city parking. Are there any free or at least cheap places to park near the public library? Do they require any apps?

At this point I think we should have proper vertical mobility

With the increased verticality of the game I think we should have ways of getting up and down that are more proper than the water bucket trick or just plain old block stacking.

I made a suggestion some time ago that we should at least have a climbing mechanic with pickaxes or climbing gear, if not descendible ropes, grapples, etc.

This would especially help in the nether.

EDIT: To be specific, this is primarily for early game and mid game exploration. Also, some variation of a parachute would be wonderful for the nether.

Some unfinished drawings due to my pen(s) retiring mid shift

Pages 1, 2, and 4 were me trying to figure out an art style for the illustration of a worldbuilding project of mine. I've moved on to another medium but Im glad I gave this a try. Multicolor pens are great but can be very finnicky when it comes to ink flow.

Does anyone find themselves in bouts of worry despite assurance from your guides?

This may sound like it belongs in r/manifestation but I decided to ask here since this sub is probably more aware of spirit guides and things of this nature.

Im in a transitional situation where I've been trying to manifest going to a graduate school without having to worry about money and its actually happening. I've been getting positive signs for months and even now but I still find myself worrying about material concerns throughout the day. I even receive signs that I don't need to do this, yet it still happens. On a conscious level I know that I shouldn't be worrying.

Does anyone else deal with these feelings? Ever found a way to deal with them or eliminate them? I know this probably relates to habits generated by my upbringing. I've never been poor, really. I just always heard my parents speaking about money in ways that were less than encouraging.

My first serious, almost successful attempt (Any tips?)

For some years I've heard of the concept of astral projection and believed in it but never thought of myself as "one of those special people" who could do it. However, recently I've been receiving the number 157 in many synchronistic ways (Urging me along to deepen a spiritual practice) along with an increased interest in projection. So, I figured, why not?

Last night was my first serious attempt where I went to bed with the goal of carrying my waking consciousness over. The only "technique" I used was simply repeating variations of "My body is falling asleep but I remain aware of myself" in my mind.

Of course, I was met with my fair share of itches. After finding a comfortable position I waited a while with attention on my affirmation when I began to feel some of the rumored sensations. Specifically my body began to feel numb all over (Laying straight up, no blood flow interruptions). I also began to feel a buzzing and slight vibration while also feeling a slight sway as if I just come from a swim.

I seriously felt as though a separation would occur until I was woken up at 10:57pm (157 again) due to some noise from downstairs (My mom is a night owl). I wrote my sensations in a journal as soon as I could and resigned to simply fall asleep to try again the next night (Today, hopefully I will be tired enough for the process to be smoother).

Are there any tips I should know about for a potential breakthrough? Any optimal sleep positions?

Thanks for any feedback!

If your world has a narrative/theme, what is it about?

I would like to see what sorts of themes and stories people are crafting their worlds around, if they choose to have stories in their world with an overarching theme. I'll briefly go first with my two settings (in infancy): Penumbra and Phlegethon.

Penumbra: The theme of this project is the jungian concept of the "Shadow", both collective and individual. A near future Earth is threatened by the arrival of its own antimatter counterpart, brought in by the merging of our galaxy with an antimatter double. The shadowy spirits of Earth's counterpart, Threa, descend from the heavens to find their counterparts and unite with them while an occult order tries to keep the whole thing under wraps.

Phlegethon: Ecstasy, Desire, and Grounding. The galaxy is populated by plasmoid life forms, the more intelligent of whom are known only by the Peacekeepers; a Catholic-esque organization that mediates conflict by day and manages infernal entities by night. These infernal cosmic neighbors once comprised a galactic empire based in the Rigel system that abused reality bending tech powered by harvested emotion and desire. They were promptly punished and barred from entry into the afterlife, left to wander the cosmos in search of vulnerable "fleshies" they can possess.

The Peacekeepers had all this under control until one of their own succumbed to the influence of an infernal entity while on a mission to accompany settlers on a remote planet (A disaster, given the occult abilities of the Peacekeepers). On the frozen, remote planet of Yetan, the now possessed settlers dance to the tune of infernals called Ashwalkers and threaten to reactivate their demiurgic machinery, loosing the trapped Infernals into the open stars.

Your story. Now.

What's in your music folder that isn't standard repertoire?

Im working on Campagnoli's 41 caprices (Currently on 3, hard but fun sound) and Im thinking about expanding my repertoire beyond the classical standard. Maybe some folk pieces, tango, even themes from anime or games.

Wind Currents: More speed for the Happy Ghast without compromising their building utility

From my suggestion on the official suggestions site:

"A growing sentiment is that the Happy Ghast is too slow and needs a speed increase. However I believe a more interesting solution is possible which involves weather!

Wind Currents/Jet streams: Starting at a certain altitude, "wind currents" will occur that travel in one direction and increase the speed of entities travelling with them, namely the Happy Ghast as well as any Elytra users.

Such aerial streams may change direction and speed with altitude and time of day. Perhaps even seasons if those become a thing. A new item could be introduced that gives the player an indication of wind direction (Wind Vane? Weather Map?).

This will increase the speed of the Happy Ghast in a way that is much more interesting and connected to natural processes than a mere flat speed increase."

Additional remarks:

In addition to the above mechanic I think it would also help if feeding the Happy Ghast coal would make it ascend (perhaps with some internal glowing effect like a furnace?) and feeding it ice/water would make it descend, perhaps with a steam effect.

Also, I think the currents should move in convection cells. The air might move from a cold biome to a warm one at a low altitude and the opposite at a higher one.

This would not only provide slight predictability but also give players a way to strategically search for biomes by their climate type instead of having to use external applications like chunkbase.

Has anyone here activated their psychic gifts through any deliberate practice?

In past months I been wanting to enhance my spirituality a little bit and try my hand at awakening any psychic gifts I may have. I've never really had consistent instances of psychism and I've always been interested in people who can channel, access heightened intuition, dowse, astral travel, remote view, etc. I recently picked up the "Breath of Fire" yogic technique which supposedly builds up your etheric body for heightened psychic awareness. Im aware that increased psychic awareness can bring dangers, but I would say that Im pretty sound in mind and self awareness.

For those of you with clear psychic gifts, have you awakened them through deliberate practice? If so, what?

Why do some daydreams seem more trance-like than attempted meditation? (For me)

Occasionally I may have a daydream that feels very trance-like, to the point where surrounding visuals and the feeling of physical presence seriously begins to fade. Of course, this stops when I realize this is happening, causing me to snap back to the present moment.

Im sure at least some other people experience this. Im kinda curious about this. For example, how does this even begin? Could this be used for deeper states of consciousness that some people seek through meditation? I feel like this could be useful for lucid dreaming, projection, manifesting, the works.

I feel like this would be very useful to induce on demand
