Good Overnight Spots Between Lake Toya and Tokyo?
I'm traveling from Sapporo to Tokyo in February, and I'm not 100% sure where to stop after Lake Toya. I'd ideally like to stop at two different places on the way back without going too far from the shinkansen lines, I'm trying to avoid more than 5 hours of travel a day (ideally less but may not be realistic).
Cities, small towns, so long as it's practical to reach without a car, I'm potentially interested.
