India mein BSc kaun log krte hai?

I mean whoever wants to do anything in a field related to science and technology either chooses engineering or medical streams. Okay, there are students who are very clear about what they want, genuinely love the subject and do pursue natural sciences but that number is really small and mostly I hear about such students at IISc, ISI, CMI and some IITs. There are many other colleges in India which offer BSc degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology etc. and usually have students pursuing these degrees, so who are these? What is going on in their minds? Or what is their purpose? I am genuinely confused because there was a time in India when these disciplines were relevant and actively encouraged to be pursued but now that's not the case anymore, it's always about engineering and medical colleges. Many students who pursue BSc try to get into government jobs, I mean what is the purpose of the BSc then, wouldn't a BA make more sense? (I am not considering those pursuing BSc Economics). My main point being - I feel BSc has lost its relevance.

English 1 week 2 assignments doubt

Where's the underline? the first two slides are from practice assignment and the rest are from graded assignment. in practice assignment I guessed the answers for both. for the first slide the underlined word must be either hotel or bar, and for the second slide the underlined word must be meanwhile. I posted this again because I ran into the same issue in graded assignment. I've also had this happen in a previous assignment, but I don't remember which one it was.

I don't know what's going on

So, I have been going through a tough phase lately. Some of the issues I faced or am facing are: procrastination, no desire to work, existential crisis, hopelessness, meaninglessness (kinda made me nihilistic), overwhelmed, burnt-out, social anxiety, overthinking, intrusive thoughts, some compulsive behaviours that exhaust me like laying the bedsheet absolutely flat with zero creases, making sure the room is clean, making sure my handwriting is good (those are some of the things that immediately come to mind) (I think I like to have a lot of control about matters that concern me or maybe I am simply performative). But usually these things aren't that easily controllable so it makes me very much disturbed and feel like energy draining and after a time I just let things be the way they are (like not cleaning the room at all). It's usually all or nothing for me (I am very sure to say that I have almost all perfectionist traits). Thoughts from the past, usually those of negative experiences keep me in a constant rumination state. I am almost paralysed to study. I have my college exams in a few days yet I haven't even started studying, I feel like I am just incapable, paralysed. I have very little prep for this exam but I think I may pass it if I start studying now but I simply can't. I had consulted a therapist before but he couldn't really help me much, he was good but he didn't get the philosophical problems I was dealing with at the time. He recommended a psychiatrist, who in turn prescribed anti-depressants. I did take them for a while, they made me feel good (cannot confirm whether it was a placebo) but I still didn't sit down to work. I was really frustrated towards the end because a lot of money was being spent and nothing fruitful appeared out of it. So, I stopped the meds, the therapy everything. Currently, my financial situation isn't that great so I cannot afford therapy. I am a student so my pocket money is all that I have. I have read a lot of reviews of multiple Indian psychologists on Google and Reddit and I am quite traumatised and have started feeling helpless again. Most of them are negative, people say they have been through 7-8 before finding the right one. I don't have that great patience. Nor that big a pocket. I am thinking that if somehow I can secure a foreign college (in the US/UK/Germany) I may get access to some good therapists over there. But in order to secure that foreign college I would have to study which I can't do for now 😂.

I have a question to any qualified therapist out there in this subreddit: Is it really possible for someone to be paralysed to such an extent? Or am I just making up excuses? How do I make myself work and leave this country?
