Anthony Davis to…the NBA

Anthony Davis is the potential key to so many teams being either in contention or being championship contenders if they were to add a healthy version of him:

Wizards: If they keep him this is the only way they have enough upside to make the playoffs. But they could trade him after a few months and be better off 2 years down the road because of it.

Bucks: If they kept Giannis, this would be their only path to being good next season. Giannis with shooters and help in the post with AD, who is a clear upgrade over Turner. They can try at one last run with Giannis.

Lakers: Whether they kept LeBron or not, this is the only way they can challenge the Spurs and OKC. Especially since AD is a better option against the bigs those team have than…Ayton

Celtics: AD gives them a better big that can get them over the hump with the teams from the west

Nuggets: A healthy AD would be the only shot that they have to get out of the west. Move on from Gordon and take AD’s upside

Hornets: Should keep building for the future but AD would allow them to seriously compete next season.

Raptors: Another first round exit but Davis makes them a contender in the East, if he’s healthy of course

Miami: Here me out; Double bigs. Twin towers. If they can keep the core there while doing the trade, they would be legit East contenders.

Houston: A lineup of Van Fleet, Thompson, Durant, AD, Sengun is legit very good

GS: Literally any player with upside makes them better for one last Steph run.

Clippers: Pairing AD with Kawhi and Garland would give them a chance to at least be a top-6 seed

Davis shouldn’t cost a ton if the Wizards want to move him, which is why he seems like a realistic option for so many teams. Yes, he has to be healthy when the playoffs roll around. But none of these teams have a shot at winning a chip without rolling the dice

Best place to live for a month with Mountains and Beach?

I seem to be trying to find a perfect utopia - which is not possible - but ideally I would have mountains and the beach within 30 or so minutes somewhere in Southeast Asia with enough people to make the area feel alive and more sunny days than not. It’s fine if it rains for a few hours but the sun being out every day for extended periods of time matters. Being able to rent a motorbike easily to get around matters too.

Here are some of the places I’m debating:

Cebu City: Smaller mountains in the backdrop but the beach seems to be a good hour away. Rainy season is also starting.

Da Nang: Has both but lacks the “authenticity” that everyone seems to crave. Water is also pretty rough. Mountains aren’t really within 30 minutes either, Marble “Mountains”not included.

Krabi: Beaches about as great as they come and Dragon’s Nest is at least an enjoyable hike, but it’s rainy season now. The rain would be the largest drawback.

Bali: Ocean is beautiful, albeit rough. Can surf some and eat well and focus on fitness. But the mountains are not close to the ocean, at least in Uluwatu.

Kuala Lumper: Never been outside of the airport, but no ocean right in the area. Does have mountains/hiking nearby. Can’t really motorbike either (no motorcycle license) which is a big deal.

Sri Lanka: Not sure how close the mountains are to non Colombo beaches but it’s raining a ton now, as far as I know. Colombo is too far from trekking. I want to be able to hike easily any day I want, proximity wise, even if they are smaller hikes.

Krabi in May/June

Looking for my next place to go and Krabi is currently in rainy season. My question is it mostly sunny with like an hour downpour right now? Or is it raining and cloudy most of the day. Obviously I want mostly sunny. I’m looking for a place that has access to hiking and the beach while being sunny (Krabi at least has Dragon’s crest)

Hello, just wondering what the best area would be if I wanted to be a little outside of the city but also close to hiking? I would like to hike often and I would rent a motorbike assuming it is easy to rent one there. But I would still like to be pretty close to the city so I have access to it.
