Head Supershape e-Rally vs Rossignol Forza 70 Master

Hi everyone,

/!\ Warning : Before reading, title is wrong, it's about Head Supershape e-Rally vs Rossignol Forza 70 V-TI* /!\

I’m looking for some advice after a recommendation from my ski instructor.

For context, I’m 170 cm / 63 kg, fairly athletic, and I also play tennis. My current ski is a Nordica Enforcer 94 in 165 cm, which I really enjoy as an all-mountain ski. It works well for mixed conditions and general resort skiing, but I now want to add a more dedicated piste / carving ski to help me progress technically.

I recently had a discussion with my instructor about improving my carving, edge grip, and overall piste performance. He recommended two skis in particular (back when he was racing was sponsored by Rossignol and does not exactly know the E-Rally) :

  • Head Supershape e-Rally
  • Rossignol Forza 70 V-TI

That’s where I’m a bit lost, because they seem to overlap in purpose, but possibly not in feel or level of demand.

My level

I'd put myself in the advanced range, roughly PSIA Level 7-8 out of 9, or what the French ESF system calls Étoile d'Or / Flèche d'Argent (validated by my instructor depending on the timed run).
My short-term goal is first to reach what the ESF calls Flèche de Vermeil, roughly PSIA Level 8, meaning a genuinely expert recreational skier with high technical consistency, and from there, keep pushing toward Flèche d'Or (PSIA 8-9), which is essentially the ceiling for a serious recreational skier before you're talking about racing or instructing.

What I’m looking for

I want a piste/carving ski, but not a pure race ski.

Ideally, something that is:

  • More carving-oriented than my Enforcer 94
  • Stable and confidence-inspiring
  • Precise with strong edge grip
  • Medium-radius biased, but still versatile across different turn shapes (+-14m)
  • Usable for a full ski day
  • Not only a short-turn ski, and not a pure GS ski

Basically, I want a ski that helps me progress technically on piste without being so demanding that it becomes tiring or too one-dimensional.

My taste in skis

One important point: I tend to prefer stable, planted skis.

I really disliked the Rossignol Hero Elite. It felt not stable at all

On the other hand, I loved the Stöckli Laser SL. It felt grippy, precise, planted, stable, and confidence-inspiring. (it was one year and half)

My questions

  1. Given my size, level, and preferences, which one would make more sense: the Head Supershape e-Rally or the Rossignol Forza 70 V-TI ?
  2. What length would you recommend?
  3. Are there any other piste/carving skis in this category that I should consider?

I’d especially appreciate feedback from people who have skied both, or who can compare their real-world feel over a full ski day.

Thanks a lot,

Flo
