Like, it’s silly how similar they are.

I got this at a rummage sale for a dollar. I gotta tell you, golden books did Ken/Derek DIRTY. Barbie looks fine, but wtf is with Ken/Derek? What did they do? First they don’t let him face forward on the cover, and then they do that? And why is he wearing acid wash jean Bermuda shorts as underwear? His hair is rooted on the cover, but sculpted in the book? HIS EYES. I just don’t even. Gotta love 2000s Barbie merch.

She has the prettiest face out of any Barbie I have or have ever seen. Her eyes have no black, just dark blue and teal. It gives her such an ethereal look to her eyes. Her long golden mermaid hair tops it all off. I am so smitten she has rocketed into my top dolls of all time. Her original outfit is… obnoxious, but I don’t have it. I found her for 1.99 in only these cut offs. I’m going to have to find an outfit that is a beautiful as she is.

I just got this lady for free at an estate sale and I want to know who she is. I cannot find any 40s-50s dolls with blue hair besides the blue fairy from Pinocchio, a ballerina with jointed knees, a lolli-pop girl, or a doll of the week in a silver dress. None of those are her. Her face is very close to many other dolls, but not exactly.
