Minimalist Acoustic Preamp
Ive never made a pedal, but I want to make a very small preamp to fit behind the tailpiece of my upright bass. I just want 10M Ohm input, volume (or trim/gain & output volume), and phase reverse switch. The closest/smallest thing to this I’ve found is the Fishman Platinum Stage, but it’s not small enough and has features I don’t need. The plan is to have these essentially features basically built into the bass, before plugging in to any amp. But my dream rig is to run that to an Empress Bass Paraeq (no volume control or phase) to a powered speaker (Barefaced One10 Active). I have a Grace design Alix which sounds amazing, but it’s a little big and it would be awesome to have something super discrete. Any advice?
