I love creeks! I'm with my special needs pup so it can't be a rushing creek, but a beautiful creek that is relatively safe/shallow for my pup to splash around (not submerge/swim). Bonus if it's near a hikeable trail. Not looking for an intense hike. More leisure - a few miles with beautiful scenery, and easier parking. Some of the best areas don't have much parking.

Open to anywhere in the valley or nearby (within 1-2 hours). Thank you in advance!

Been curious about this at a local level:

A recent federal tax case: the IRS wrongly charged many late-filing, late-payment, and estimated-tax penalties during the COVID disaster period (2020–2023). Millions of taxpayers could qualify for refunds.

Curious about local taxes (like the City of Portland). I was unaware of one of the city's taxes (I file religiously on time- was new to the city, did not know it was a separate filing) and was charged with penalties years later.

I know it's Federal vs. City, but wonder if this case applies at the local level for anyone here who had penalties during this period of time?

For those that have been lately, is it better to leave around lunch time on a weekday or a bit later in the afternoon?

Goal is to get there before dark BUT to avoid traffic as much as possible in Seattle.

I've never driven there; curious what others experience is!
