I wanted to ask people who have experience with wood-filled filament. Does it actually give a realistic wood effect, both visually and to the touch, or is it mostly just a marketing gimmick that ends up looking like regular PLA in a different color?

I’m searching for software that can help me split the model into mold halves and prepare it for 3D printing.
Mostly hobby/small-scale projects for now.
