Working for Terra Power

They have a remote job opportunity that would be great for me and was wondering if anyone is currently working for them or has worked for them and has any insight they are willing to share.

Toddler hair pulling

Hello. My daughter is a little over two and has been pulling her hair out since she was about 1. It comes in phases but it feels like once it starts to grow out she pulls it out again. She has pretty much no hair from her ears to her forehead. We have noticed that the pulling intensifies when her teeth are coming in. She also pulls when she’s bored in the car or tired and trying to fall asleep.

We have tried distracting her with toys to keep her hands busy, softly redirecting her, making songs about not pulling, and books. We have also tried physical barriers such as hats and hand covers, but she rips the hats off and the hand covers really stress her. We have discontinued the hand covers because I felt they were causing too much stress. We have never scolded her, raised our voices, slapped hands, or bribed her to not pull.

I have mentioned therapy to two pediatricians in our office and they have said it’s developmentally normal. They are sure she will grow out of it, but say we could look into this when she’s older and done teething…. but I’m suspicious because even the mention of us telling her to not pull STRESSES her out. I have ADHD and I am not trying to diagnose her… but I can see similarities of hyper fixation and her hair pulling.

I also know that this could be a “me”problem where I am letting too much societal pressure weigh on the situation. I know that it causes me stress that I have a daughter who is constantly called a boy because she doesn’t have hair. I have many friends with daughters her age with long hair and it does get to me. I just really don’t want to mess up and cause her more stress or ignore something that could need addressing.

Does anyone have any advice of the next steps we should take or something to do?
