Nurse midwife vs. OBGYN
This may be a redundant topic on here but I really want some insight on this. I’ve work in L&D for over 8 years and love it. I was going to do the midwifery route but during my shifts working with midwives I would get discouraged a bit when they have to consult with the OBs. Not that I haven’t met any great ones I have. But I think I would feel limited. I also volunteer overseas and there is such a need for OBs and midwives but I feel like I could help more as a MD. I’m in my mid 30s with a young child. Would like 2-3 more. I love being community oriented. Do you guys think med school is worth it? Should I just continue down the med school path?
