Flask of Petrification

Beta is the best time to make any changes to this problematic item. Once the game goes live, and particularly once Hardcore goes live in a few months, it will be too late, and the backlash too severe to change it.

options:

-Nerf the flask

-increase the cost dramatically (add an item that has a chance to drop from the final boss of every level 60 dungeon, and add that to the recipe for this flask, and maybe some Ghost Mushrooms too)

-Change the “teleport out of dungeon” mechanic post 50, and in raids, so that the timer stops while under effects of this flask.

-keep flask exactly the same, but add a debuff to the player similar to Rez sickness for X hours once flask of petri is used. I think a 4 hour res sick debuff would be fair. It also needs a weakened soul stuff debuff so they can’t be chained together.

are there any other options we can consider?

Worst parts of this wonderful game...

Chasing/Resetting.

Watching people "PvP" by opening and closing doors, chugging potions, with an inventory of francisca axes/throwing knives, it really takes away from the beauty of the fights.

I don't know what the solutions are, but as a returning player who is coming back and watching a lot of the new content creators (and some of the old), it's really lame watching these fights degenerate into door-humping throwable fights.

Potential fixes:
Dead by Daylight has "The Red Thirst" mechanic, which empowers the killer with a bit of speed the longer the chase goes. Rewarding the player chasing the other.

Mordhau has a similar mechanic, which grants run speed when chasing.

Doors? Completely rework them. I'm not sure who thought it was a good idea to have such a weird opening/closing of the doors system.

Throwables? I don't know.
