Any patterns in your triggers?

Does anyone notice any times of the day where they become more sensitive to triggers?

Or any patterns in general?

I feel “normal” in the morning then I get extremely sensitive/emotional around 6pm. That’s usually when I’ll have episodes (or crisis, whatever they’re called).

Feel free to share your experiences!

It does get better

I want to clarify that as I’m writing this, I’m not in this euphoria state that comes with BPD. But I want to help anyone who reads this by saying it gets better.

Trust me when I say that between ages 12-18 it was HELL (20 now). Literally sometimes it felt like it was the worst thing someone could experience in life (especially because of the stigma around BPD). Anyways, I did DBT therapy (both in group and one on one), and it’s definitely gotten better. Unfortunately there isn’t one solution that works for everyone but you will find one.

It will sound repetitive or cliche but actually be kind to yourself. If you feel highly sensitive to stuff people say, try to remember people don’t really think that deep. Most people may sound passive aggressive to us but it doesn’t mean they hate us. We tend to interpret other people’s body language and actions but most of the time we’re over analyzing because we ALREADY think they hate us.

You are not weird.
You will recover.
You will live a meaningful life.
