After watching True Romance at least a dozen times, I was shocked when I came upon this movie from 1973.

When it comes to album closers, other than Like Suicide (as this song is the runaway winner, and possibly their greatest song), which one is the best? I’m going with The Reprise.

I heard this for the first time today during a long drive, and between the song and the picture, it put tears in my eyes. I love that Chris made his music, I love that I can always listen to his music, and I love all of you that love his music as much as I do.

This was a tough day for everyone that loved Chris and his music. I will never forget waking up to a text from a friend simply saying “sorry about the bad news.” Checked my phone and was shocked. The John Lennon of Gen X, his music will ALWAYS be there.

Collective Soul’s 1995 album. Is it grunge? Pop rock that sounds a bit like a grunge band? Regardless, I find it a very satisfying listen.
