Nepenthes (spathulata x jacquelineae) x (truncata x veitchii (m))

My N. Ramispina x Singalana BE 3829 that I had slightly forgotten about in the greenhouse is suddenly producing this pale foliage even on an older leaf. Is stressed induced variegation or some type of fungal issue?

It’s looking promising so far, has the ideal toothy peristome and nice shape, color is still not prominent yet.

In Big Morongo Canyon Preserve

A few specimen from different locations around inland california, the flowers are deceptively beautiful, it’s always fun to find a clump of them around California and appreciate them without taking a bite. I did touch the last one but washed my hands right after.

A successful experiment on California poppies as expected, despite Eschscholzia californica not needing any smoke or fire treatment, this experiment was to yet again prove how resilient California poppy seeds are. I kept a fire going above the seeds for around 1-2 hours, so they were in the constant heat with the burnt material creating a thick layer above them, and a week later there’s life. Another interesting detail is how different the coloring of the seedlings are compared to the group of seeds that were not exposed to stressful conditions.
