CMF Headphone Pro OR Sony WH-CH720N
Trying to decide between Sony WH-CH720N and CMF Headphone Pro and I’m honestly confused now.
There’s a sale going on currently and the CMF headphones are actually cheaper than the Sonys, with LDAC support, better design and ig better build quality, better battery, etc. On paper they seem like the better deal.
I’m moving from Realme T310 earbuds (which I actually loved sound-wise), mainly because of ear pain from TWS usage. I mostly listen to medium paced songs and occasionally bass-heavy tracks.
What’s confusing me even more is that YouTube and Reddit opinions are completely opposite sometimes. Some people say the Sony's sound and tuning and comfort are unmatched in this price range, while others say the CMF are better value and newer tech. I’ve even seen some comments saying many CMF reviews on YouTube feel paid/promotional but some of the reviews of Sony headphones in which they show audio test the sound seem muffled.
So my questions are:
- Do the Sony WH-CH720N still hold up in 2026?
- Or are they starting to feel too old compared to newer headphones like CMF?
- Is the Sony sound actually “boring/flat” or just more balanced?
- Is the clamp force on the CMF too much for long sessions?
- For long listening sessions, which one would you personally choose?
- People here are saying Sony's ANC is trash in this headphone, how is CMFs.
