Update error 0x8024202a - can't find ANY info about it online

Windows 11 26H2 update failed with error code 0x8024202a, and the strange thing is I could not find ANY info about this error code online. I mean ZERO results from Google, DuckDuckoGo, and even Bing. (ironically, Microsoft's Bing ai results gave me hallucinated answers that I figured out were just descriptions of other, unrelated error codes.)

VA Form 763: If spouse has no VA income, what do I report/enclose?

My situation:

  • My spouse and I both reside and receive income in California.
  • We filed jointly for our Federal and California tax returns.
  • I have ~$1,000 of income from Virginia sources; my spouse has none.
  • I had to file for extensions, and I was unsure whether I would have tax due in Virginia so I made an estimated payment with VA Form 760IP.
  • I currently need to file my VA tax return to recoup that payment, using VA Form 763 and Schedule OSC.

Below I've copied the most relevant points from the instructions for Virginia form 763, with bold/italics emphasizing the points that I find ambiguous or contradictory...

  • Married, Filing Separate Returns (Filing Status 4) [pg.10]
    • A separate return must be filed if one of the following applies:
      • both spouses are nonresidents and both have income, but only one has income from Virginia sources
  • Form 763: Line 1 Adjusted Gross Income [pg.11]
    • Enter the total amount of your federal adjusted gross income from your federal income tax return.
    • Where spouses have filed a joint return for federal income tax purposes and have not elected to file a joint Virginia income tax return, such items allowable for Virginia income tax purposes must be allocated and adjusted as follows:
      • Each spouse must claim their income. Income must be allocated to the spouse who earned the income and with respect to whose property the income is attributable.
  • Married Taxpayers [pg.34]
    • Unless a joint return is filed in both Virginia and the other state, you may need to adjust your taxable income to compute the credit correctly.
      • If you filed jointly in the other state, but separately in Virginia, enter only the taxable income attributable to that filer from the other state’s return.
  • Schedule OSC: Line 3 Qualifying Taxable Income [pg.34]
    • Enter the total taxable income to the extent that the income was taxed by the other state. Qualifying taxable income includes the total taxable income reported on the resident return, not just the income derived from Virginia sources. Married taxpayers, see above.
  • If you completed any of the forms or schedules listed below, you must enclose them with your Virginia return. Place these forms behind your Virginia return in the following order. (...) [pg.9]
    • Federal Forms
      • Complete copy of your federal income tax return.
      • If claiming credit for income tax paid to another state on Schedule OSC, enclose a complete copy of the state tax return filed with the other state.
  • Required Documentation [pg.34]
    • Enclose a copy of the other state’s return if the taxpayer filed an individual return in the other state.
    • W-2s, 1099s, and Schedules K-1 are not acceptable documentation to support the credit.

This is what I'm uncertain about:

  1. Form 763 Line 1 instructions clearly state to enter the "total amount from your federal income tax return," but subsequently says, "Income must be allocated to the spouse who earned the income." Well, which is it? The "total amount" from my Federal AGI is our combined joint income. Do I enter the number I actually put on my Federal return, or do I only enter my individual income?
  2. Likewise, the instructions for Line 3 of Sched OSC clearly state to enter "the total taxable income reported on the resident [state] return," but earlier on the same page it said, "Enter only the taxable income attributable to that filer from the other state's return." Okay, so do I enter the number that's actually reported on my California return (aka our joint income), or do I enter only my individual income?
  3. If I'm supposed to enter my individual (non-joint) income for both of the above, does that change what supporting documents I enclose? The instructions ask for copies of my Federal tax return and my other state's tax return, as supporting documents; should I enclose copies of the returns I actually submitted (which are Married Filing Jointly), or am I supposed to redo my Fed and CA tax returns as Married Filing Separately and attach those, so that they reflect the same (individual) "total income" numbers that I entered on the Virginia returns?

Website constantly redirects to homepage

EDIT: This also happens sometimes in the Costco app. That's odd, but not impossible, since their app is just a webview window. It suggests that the issue is more with their website rather than my device/browser. But it's curious that no one has commented that they've experienced this bug yet. Anyone?

ORIGINAL: Anyone else have issues with the Costco website? Sometimes it works fine, but often, randomly, I will try to go to a product listing, only for it to redirect back to the homepage (https://Costco.com/).

For example, if I search for an item, it might show me the list of search results, but when I click one to open it (or copy the url and open in a new tab), instead of showing me the item page it goes back to Costco homepage. Often happens too if I try to open a shopping category from the sidebar (e.g. "Gift cards & tickets").

I've tried disabling any browser extensions, clearing the browser cache, etc. Is this a common issue with the Costco website?

Using Plugins in web userscript

The Vencord download page says, "Please note that due to Discord's content security policy, the CSS Editor, custom themes and plugins making use of external scripts will not work with the Userscript."

Is there anyway to circumvent this, perhaps by forking the Userscript and hard-coding plugins into it? Or creating separate userscripts to hold plugins' code, and then making the Vencord Userscript call those?

Where to download debug builds?

EDIT: SOLVED Build artifacts are produced by the testing-build.yml workflow.

I thought there was a way to download debug builds of Fossify apps, but I don't see it in the Github releases, and I can't find any GH workflows that output build artifacts...

Can you run Git commands on a Github web repo? (without downloading local clone or Github Desktop app)

I use Github for very small personal projects and mostly contributing to Issues/Discussions on other people's repos. As a result, I am very unfamiliar with Git CLI, and I haven never needed to install Github Desktop. (Even for my own repos, I'm usually just writing collections of short script files directly in the GH web file editor.)

However, I am encountering some problems that, according to my research, are easily accomplished with Git Bash, but are evidently impossible to achieve on web Github. (for example, adding a submodule to my repo.)

I really don't want to install Github Desktop --or worse, install and learn how to use Git to connect to my GH account, clone the repo locally, and push my change back to GH-- all so I can run one Git command!

Is there ANY way to run Git commands directly on a Github repo?

Audio-based learning program that spells out vocab? [Already checked Resource Wiki]

I need to develop my ear for Spanish (TL) before going to Spain for a while, and I need an app (or podcast, YT channel, whatever) that's mainly audio based— not only because most of my "study time" will be audio only (like on long drives), and also because I will need to understand when Spanish people are speaking to me, so my reading/writing is less important to work on right now.

HOWEVER, I know I learn much better in writing especially for vocab, I learn best when it's clearly enunciated, and then spelled out. Otherwise, I really struggle recognize what sounds are being made or where the word boundaries are.

Are there any audio language-learning programs that spell out new vocab words?

LTE Network Extender "Closed Access" not recognizing Member contacts?

I followed u/RicksterCraft's guide to set my Verizon LTE Network Extender 3 to "Closed Access," with a list of "Member" phone-numbers that are permitted to connect to the network.

The problem is, I added my phone number to the list of Members (and I made sure there were no typos - it only permits 10 digits, no symbols or spaces), I made sure that the list is set as the active "Access List" in my device management page, yet I cannot connect my phone to the network!

As a test, I even set the Extender to "Hybrid Access" mode, where it allows all connections but prioritizes Member contacts. In the Extender's admin portal (aka when I log in at its local IP), it shows:

Current Connections
Members: 0
Non-members: 1

So, it clearly considers my phone to be a NON-member, even though my phone number is on the Members Access List.

How in the world do I fix this?

Why does a "fathom" measure 6ft if humans were shorter on avg in the past?

The fathom is an anthropometric measurement defined by a grown man's arm span, and is equivalent to 6ft, with usage dating back to the Byzantines. But if humans were shorter in the past, why does the fathom equal 6ft, Rather than a shorter distance?

Were there simply enough 6ft-tall men in the past that it was the standard (and our modern perceptions of human height increases are perhaps overblown)?

Or, is there evidence that a fathom historically equated to something more like 5ft?

Some other explanation?

Shots of "fake" (prop) Bill The Pony in Fellowship?

Watching the Design Team commentary of Fellowship, they mention it was challenging getting Bill The Pony's actor (horse) to some locations so they actually built a prop/prosthetic pony operated by two people to use in some shots. They said it looked "obviously fake" but implied that at least some shots did make it into the final film cut.

Does anyone happen to know which shots (if any) from Fellowship feature this prop version of Bill The Pony?
