Soon to be home owner. How to start jumping in?

Finally getting a house, and the downstairs area has a very nice area for a theater to be installed.

I consider myself pretty tech savvy, but when it comes to this type of thing, I’m pretty clueless. Would love some advice on where to start and what’s required.

Currently looking to do it without coming close to breaking the bank. I know it’ll be a large TV to start and in the center of the wall more or less.

I’ve done little bit of looking around. I’m thinking bookshelf speakers mounted on the wall would likely be the easiest for the area. Would a 3 Chanel (front left, center, and right) be a good place to start? Is that 2 speakers and a center speaker? 2 on the walls at ear level, 1 right under the TV?

Outside of that what else is recommended? Not looking for anything super fancy. Just wanting to set something up where my fiancé and I can watch movies and shows together with good quality audio and visual.

Happy to take any advice and/or suggestions. While I don’t know the exact size of the room. It’s a bit smaller, rectangular shaped, downstairs in the basement where a theater type system the main attraction. Thank you for any help!

Good white noise machine?

I love the sound of white noise, helps me relax.

Wondering if there’s a good machine out there that not only does white noise, but also pink or brown noise as well depending on my mood. I know YouTube does that, but requires some kind of phone or something kept on the whole time.

Just looking for something I can turn on for extended periods of time with multiple options. Either something with pre-set sounds or something where you can add your own.

I’m sure something like that exists, just would love to know where to look!
