I’m calling this month Anti-Octorok October!
Kill all the annoying Octoroks you can this month! Or anytime, really. I hate Octoroks more than any monster in Hyrule.
I Cleared Myahm Agana Apparatus with Stasis and Remote Bomb+
This is how I cleared the Myahm Agana Apparatus shrine on my current save file using Stasis and Remote Bomb+! But first, I repositioned the maze so I could paraglide onto it.
I started running around with my sledgehammer near the end of the clip trying to find the ball unaware it made it into the target until the animation played.
I call these.. 2 "Yikes!" and an "Aww.."
I got flung into the air taking the second picture of the Blue Lynel.. totally worth it.
The Blue Bokoblin in the third picture reminds me of Stitch.
Perhaps I’ll make it my thing getting scary and cute pictures of most monsters around Hyrule.
I kicked a monster’s head off a cliff, as requested
To the user who told me to kick the monster’s head off a cliff in my previous post: wish granted.
Edit: Well, this was more of an idea than a request.
I didn’t think this would have to be said, but if you don’t like or care for this.. then express your dislike with the downvote button instead of spreading Malice.
Smile!
I wore the Bokoblin mask but got ratted out by a nearby Keese soon after taking this picture for my Compendium.
I call this.. "Yikes!"
I BARELY survived this encounter, by the way. I got the Shock Arrows I needed and GOT OUT OF THERE.
I found a new (to me) and fun way of getting downhill faster: Cart Shielding!
It may not be new, but it’s fun to do. Just like in real life, you wipe out once the shield breaks! What fun.. uhh. That may or may not be funny, but it’s an experience!
I’m going too fast to be attacked by my neighbors (monsters).
Construct Slap Fight (with bonus Master Kohga picture)
Picture 1: How it started
Picture 2: How it was going
Picture 3: How it ended..
I marked this as a spoiler because this is the final Master Kohga encounter of the side adventure line.
Note: Get a picture of Kohga for your Hyrule Compendium if you have not already, as this will be the last time he appears in-game unless you purchase the photos or play on a different save file*!
*The Switch 2 version of ToTK allows 2 save files instead of 1.
Here’s my Hyrule Compendium photo for Master Kohga!
This photo was too good not to share!
What are some of your favorite pictures you took for your Hyrule Compendium?
1st picture: Big Hearty Radish
2nd picture: Patricia (she looks adorable rolling around!)
3rd picture: Blue Sparrow(s)
4th picture: Voltfruit
5th picture: Silver Bokoblin (I would not have been able to get so close without wearing the Bokoblin mask)
6th and 7th pictures: Hylian Retriever(s)
8th picture: Golden Sparrow
The Hylian Retriever photos are some of the first I took when I was just starting out.
The retriever chasing its tail is just too cute! The black retriever chasing its tail is the current compendium picture for the Hylian Retriever entry. The retriever on the ground was the original picture before I switched it.
Note: I would prefer if these pictures were your own and not purchased from Robbie’s compendium.
Did you know you can feed certain monsters?
I feed this particular Electric Lizalfos in Faron ONLY in clear weather so I can wear the Lizalfos mask without fear of being electrocuted by the electric shield it creates during thunderstorms.
For this screenshot, I gave it Prime Meat (I have plenty from regular hunting trips) to prove it was not already holding meat when I walked up to it.
I did not sneakstrike this Lizalfos because it’s my buddy that I feed whenever I’m in the area! I don’t kill it so I can act like it’s the same Lizalfos I feed every time and not a different one.
(Trying to) burn a Yiga Tree Trap (feat. Yunobo):
Yunobo’s charge hit the bananas first which I stole, then I aimed him at the trees going from right to left.
As you can see, it’s the same as when I tried chopping them down in my first Yiga tree trap post. The trees remain unscathed but the grass around them is burnt.
The flames on the trees disappear almost immediately, after hearing your fellow Yiga members’ remarks!
Again, I am marking this as a spoiler in case you have yet to find out the hard way that these are traps!
This is my first Zelda game and I was warned about not picking up bananas on the road or that are not on trees because it sounded unbelievable until it happened. On trees! Not under them!
Target Practice with Yiga Tree Traps!
Aim..
Fire!
Note: I completed a special side mission to trigger that last statement, so I added a spoiler tag to this post.
Here’s what happens when you try registering a Stalhorse at a stable:
I let my new poor buddy go free in a nearby field as the sun was going up. 💔
Here’s what happens when you try chopping down a Yiga tree trap while disguised as Yiga:
PS: the burn mark on the ground is from me burning the banana trap and then taking the bananas without getting any extra remarks! I also attacked each tree again out of spite.. I mean because I was feeling generous. 🤭
Operation: "Borrow" a Cucco from a Village and Skydive
You can jump from a high point while holding a Cucco and float to the ground with it as if you’re paragliding.
So I came up with a plan: build a Zonai device to get me to the highest point possible and then jump while holding a Cucco.
I used the hot-air balloon schematic and placed the Flame-Emitter inside and two Cuccos inside just in case one jumped out. I then placed a steering stick inside and lifted off as they panicked. I made an outfit change and jumped out holding a Cucco when the hot-air balloon was about to disappear.
What was not part of the plan was getting ambushed by a Yiga clan member as soon as I landed while holding the Cucco and watching the Cucco call their flock and attack the Yiga clan member instead.
Hilarious. 😂
Sailing in the Necluda Sea at Sunrise
This is my most favorite screenshot I have taken in Tears of the Kingdom. That is Eventide Island in the distance. I love this screenshot so much that I got it displayed in the gallery of my (in-game) house.
The second picture is of the multi-boat monstrosity I created to sail in. Hyrule sure is beautiful.
I got attacked by a banana-selling Yiga Clan Ninja.. Is this normal? (Great Plateau area)
I’m near the Great Plateau and about to walk into a wintry looking area and got excited seeing another human who said they were selling grilled bananas.
They were too expensive for me (I just started playing not even a week ago), so I didn’t buy them. But then they transformed and started attacking me! Is this normal?
