Which teams have given their young players the most games?

https://preview.redd.it/6njqi5kxx48h1.png?width=1036&format=png&auto=webp&s=8bed5d423a10b0d8f295c6759253a6649cecd51d

Footy Fan Network posted a debate between Kane Cornes and Collingwood supporters about the danger the club is facing with its lack of experienced youth last night.

It's a good little clip (watch here) and it made me want to put a graph together to see which clubs have effectively blooded their younger players (25 and under). I did it pretty quickly with AI using a player data file but I'm pretty sure it's all correct.

Shows total games put into each age by club (so if a team had 4x 22 year olds with 20 games each, they'd show as 80 on the graph)

Sure enough, Collingwood is dead last, with Freo having almost 3x the number of experience put into players aged 25 and under, although teams like the Hawks, Saints, West coast and North Melbourne are doing better with players aged 22 and under.

Not sure if this is useful to anyone but I was interested in how clubs have been preparing for the future

EDIT: Ages are as of 31 December 2026

Time to get a new battery?

Sorry everyone, very basic question.

I inherited a 2011 diesel Skoda superb from my grandfather about a year ago - under 50Ks on it, few scratches because the dude probably kept driving when he shouldn’t have, but otherwise good nick.

The battery was replaced just over 2 years ago by the RACV

About 3 months ago, the battery died. Got a jump, drove it around, a few weeks later, it died again, and then again a few weeks later.

I messed with a couple of things and the battery lasted a bit longer but last night it was dead again. I tested for a parasitic drain a few weeks ago, and have also tested the alternator with a multimeter, all was good.

The RACV guy did a crank test with me and he said the battery was no good but out of warranty, I kinda didn’t trust him, but it seems maybe he’s right.

The only thing I’m hung up on is that the battery is only 2.25 years old. Can batteries really go to shit like that?

If so, what’s the most economical way/retailer/brand to replace a battery? I’m trying to understand cars better so pretty comfortable replacing it myself

Other details: one of the headlamps went out a bit before the battery died, and I’m pretty sure it was the ballast rather than the bulb. I’ve been meaning to fix this but it’s still dead. I’ve wondered if it dying was a sign of some weird electrical fault but no evidence of it from my amateur multimeter tests

Is Tom morris a sociopath or just a massive flog?

I swear every time I hear his voice he’s just going for the lowest brow BS possible.

Two questions in the post match with Steven King:

  1. “What are your thoughts on Melbourne supporters booing Billy Frampton after the Mihocek incident?” Clearly just a really awkward slightly irrelevant and overblown question for King to answer

  2. “Will the players or club visit Mihocek in hospital?” Really dude? 20 minutes after the game ended?

On top of all his more offensive moments from the past, I just despise the fact this dude is part of mainstream footy media

“Kozzy Kozzy Kozzy” chant yesterday

We sit in M52 and got involved in a small but passionate “Kozzy Kozzy Kozzy / Oi Oi Oi” chant - was a good bit of fun, wonder if it could stick?
