Extroverted parent who still cannot handle the constant chatter

My 4yo is constant talking and questions. Everything needs a response or acknowledgement. I can't make a move without him asking "why did you do that?" "why did you say that"? "why did you make that sound?"

I'm an extrovert and naturally chatty. I have a meeting-heavy job I enjoy. The talking is still so exhausting.

He's been in FT school since 8 months and we hang out with other families, so he gets plenty of socialization.

I feel so guilty because my son is generally very happy, chill, and easy -multiple parents and teachers have commented over the years at how easy he is.

My husband can tune him out just fine, and he's more patient. My MIL and SIL both pride themselves on being able to tune out children (WTF). But I'm always just moments away from snapping at him to STFU. What is wrong with me?

Has anyone used The Brick to limit apps/phone time?

I'm fully recognizing the impact that social media, especially Instagram is having on me. I'm overwhelmed at the amount of "quick hit" headlines and content, which our brains are not meant to process. It also makes me feel like my own social and family life is lacking (even though it is not). The heaviness of the news compounds all of this.

I don't want to fully quit socials (I work in media) but I would like to limit my time. The app limits on iPhone are so easy to bypass.

Has anyone tried Brick? It's a device that essentially blocks certain apps, you can do it on a schedule and create modes. It's $59 so not cheap, but I'm really tempted. If you've used it, do you stick to it? (I am not affiliated in any way, only came across this today)

I am always looking for more vegetarian recipes - ones that can be made on a weeknight. High protein is a plus, since I aim for 100g a day. 4yo is very picky and doesn't eat much, so he's not a factor.

Sorry for another dinner/meal post, but wanted to focus specially on vegetarian (I do eat eggs and dairy).
