Forstjórarnir sem möluðu gull í fyrra

Alltaf gaman af þessum lista.
Þess má geta að launahæsti forstjórinn í fyrra var sami maður en þá með 40millur. Launin hans hækkuðu um 6 milljónir á einu ári. Aðstoðarforstjóri sama fyrirtækis var ekki á lista í fyrra og nú eru fjórir með hærri laun en sá næsthæsti í fyrra (heimild: https://www.mbl.is/frettir/innlent/2025/08/19/thetta\_eru\_tekjuhaestu\_forstjorar\_landsins/)

Klárlega þúsundkallarnir sem verkafólk fær í launahækkun sem er að drífa þessa verðbolgu áfram er það ekki?
Og munið að þetta eru hóparnir sem berjast hvað harðast gegn því að við fáum að sjá hvað ESB getur boðið okkur.

Has Hank played Outer Wilds?

I've just listened to Hank's Wyna Liu Humans episode and the way Hank talked about puzzles made me think of the best "puzzle" game I have ever played - Outer Wilds. I put it in quotation marks because it is so much more than a puzzle game.. it is kind of its own genre.
The podcast episode just made me believe that Hank would absoloutly adore this game - especially with his recent topics on Hankschannel about humanity and science discoveries and all those big questions.

I did a search here and it seems like he once had a twitch account and was streaming some games, but it obviously isn't his type of content. I would nevertheless give so much to watch him play this game. I've been watching streamers play this for a while - ever since I finished it - it is the only way to experience the wonder of this game again, as you can only play it once. Being able to watch Hank play it - with his science oriented mind - would be such a treat!

I'm not going to go into detail about what this game is about. It is best experienced completely blind. But in the hopes of persuading him (and any of you reading this also) to at least play it in his free-time, I'll say that you play as an alien species exploring your tiny little (open world) solar system that was once inhabited by another highly advanced species, uncovering the mysteries of their tech and culture and trying to get to the bottom of a big unexplainable event that is happening. It is such a good lesson in curiosity because it is so open ended - I actually think it should be taught in schools. It just sparks something in you.. and takes you on this amazing emotional and eye opening journey and gets you wondering about all the biggest questions of the universe. And it is just such a good story!

The game came out in 2019 so maybe I'm late to the party and everyone has already played it and gotten over it.. but I just couldn't stop thinking about how fun it would be to experience this game again through Hank's eyes that I had to eventually just post about it here.

TLDR: Hank absoloutly should play Outer Wilds if he hasn't already (and record it for us)

Brugðið yfir því hvernig talað sé um Ólaf Ragnar

Ætti prófessor í sálfræði ekki að vera meðvitaðari um að það að sjá tvö hitler komment á facebook er ekkert annað en venjulegur miðvikudagur. Hvað þá að blaðamanni skuli finnast þetta efni í frétt.

Allar líkur á að þessi komment hafi verið bottar, í það minnsta einstaklingar sem eiga ekkert erindi í umræðuna og algjör óþarfi að veita gaum. Þetta er ekki eitthvað lýsandi dæmi um málefnaleysi eða ókurteisi i umræðunni... þetta er rage bait sem segir meira um fólkið sem fellur fyrir henni en eitthvað annað

Head Movements to burp

I had my botox two weeks ago and immediately started to experience burps. As probably many of you, I realized I could burp if I move my head this way or that way. However, the precise movement that induced burps has been constantly changing over these past two weeks.

I thought I'd share which movements have done the trick for me and hopefully someone further along in the process can tell me what to expect next, since it can take some time to figure out the next head movement.

First three days: Clearing my throat would sometimes allow air to escape

Day 3-6: Moving my chin down to my neck would work for a little while but then it stopped and took me a few days to find the next "step"

Day 7-9: Now I had to move my head down and to the right to produce them

From day 9 I lost the ability to help the burps along, but would still have random burps without trying but when I felt I needed to burp nothing I did would induce them

Then today - two week mark - I find out that extending my neck forward and "tucking" my head a little bit into my shoulders was the most effective way to let them out.

I'd love to hear if any of you have found other movements that help you! I'm sure this "new method" will also stop working in a couple of days.

btw, I look ridiculous contorting my head and neck with mouth open in public trying to find a new way to let my air out x) but when it works it is too good to care

My first hard mode run

I did my first hard mode with Folktails on the Waterfalls map. It was so much easier than I was anticipating. Did not think I would have an oppertunity to create a Beaver Utopia after a few cycles. Also my first time caring about making a nice looking housing district.

I guess Waterfalls is a super easy map because now I am on to the next one (canyon), also on hard mode and my first badwater event (8 days) will probably wipe out my very unstable colony of Ironteeth 😅 I closed the game when I realised that water does indeed not flow backwards from the source and a tsunami of badwater was heading my way...

Tattoos

I've seen a lot of cool tattoos here and am considering getting one too. I haven't seen anyone do the tiny universes image from the DLC which personally really stayed with me after the game. Does anyone have a tattoo of this they want to show me? :)

I keep building campfires but it never fullfills their need!

I had the bar at 12/60 for campfires and once I built one more it went down to 11/60!

I am tearing out crops and storage to build them as close to their houses as I can or in busy areas but the more I seem to put down the less need is fullfilled 🤔 Is there a secret?

EDIT: Thanks everyone for the answers! It was the work hours. I took them down and immediately got 53/60. So I've learned then that when you increase recreational activities their time for each one spreads out. It is not the number of activities per beaver that counts but the number of free hours per activity. Very useful to know, thanks :)
