(Narrative Analysis) What I believe the ShadowCrystal bosses are meant to tell the player and Kris

With Chapter 5's release, the last ShadowCrystal boss revealed, and the truth that they are shards of broken dreams, I think I get what Toby is trying to do with them, narratively.

The ShadowCrystal bosses are meant to be a mirror to Kris, and more likely than not, they are meant to show Kris' relationship with the SOUL, and how best they can live with it.

Lemme break it down for ya, one by one, and what I think each boss fight is meant to represent/show us.

Jevil - A man self-locked in a cage, steeped in so much delusion that they think they are free. This one is the one I'm the most cloudy on. I'm stuck on two conclusions here: Kris can't keep the SOUL in forever, as there won't be any true freedom for themselves. Or, Kris can't lock themselves into the Prophecy for too long, as they may lose themselves if they go in too far.
Conclusion: Kris needs to let the SOUL out occasionally to live their best life, or Kris needs to get out of the Prophecy soon before they lose themselves to it.

Spamton - This one's clear, right? A man who lost everything, thinking he can gain his freedom via "reaching heaven" and cutting the strings controlling him free. But, he cuts his strings, and goes cold.
Conclusion: Fully severing the connection is fatal. Kris cannot be fully rid of us. There has to be another way...

The Knight: Confusing at first, but I think I got it. The Knight, our "ally" in the Prophecy is not here to let us live happily. They will hurt our friends, but not Kris. However, as long as the SOUL is allowed to FIGHT (or ACT?), everyone who isn't the Knight can stay unharmed.
Conclusion: Despite being so in the Prophecy, The Knight isn't Kris' perfect ally.

Gerson: This is one is also pretty easy, as Gerson constantly tells us this throughout Chapter 4. A man with freedom in his heart, with no earthly limitations to hold him, he can finally write the wrongs of his story, independent of the story he wrote for himself.
Conclusion: The Prophecy is as big of a controller of Kris as we are, but it shouldn't be that way. Like Gerson says, we need to be able to read and live between the lines, as much as we can.

Pink: The key, the lodestone to the true answer. A spirit having issues with a body that doesn't listen to her. Through fully understanding the wants and wishes of the body, she is able to fully and comfortably merge with the body. Let's be for real here, this one is almost screaming at us in the face to be understood. Switch the roles of the body and spirit and it becomes a perfect metaphor for Kris and the SOUL.
Conclusion (overall): If the Knight isn't Kris' perfect ally, and the Prophecy is just as controlling as the Knight or the SOUL without any room for fun or living-to-the-fullest, then Kris needs to find a way to live and coexist with the SOUL if they want to make it out of this comfortably.

Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk, byyyyeeeee~!

Saw this trend going around, so I thought I'd put my hat in the ring.

I imagine the mods will either take it down or lock the trend after this post for low effort, but I did try my best to put some real effort and my own spin on it.

For those wondering why the 25% off Memorials/Veterans Day coupon isn't in the Register Guide this week:

It's gone.

I just got off the phone with corporate, we aren't doing any discounts for Veterans anymore.

I didn't think we would be stooping this low, but if I ever think that again, I'll just remind myself that corporate greed can always go lower.
