New portable AC barely cooling room

Got a GE portable air conditioner up to 550 sqft for a just over 400 sqft apartment and it’s cooling the unit from like 27° to 24.5° (lowest I’ve gotten it)

The unit is extremely loud, but blowing very cool air out. Yet the unit is essentially not cooling down whatsoever.

Looking at hose insulators to stop the hose from radiating heat back into the apartment but apparantly those give marginal gains.

Is there anything else I can do? It’s really frustrating having it be so loud, take up the entire circuit it’s on, and barely cooling down the unit whatsoever

Aliens Discover our Planet / Universe. What shocks them the most?

I’ll start. The fact that we need Oxygen, a highly combustible and at times toxic substance, in fact one that literally essentially kills us over time yet is necessary for our survival.

Or how volatile our planet can be. From tsunamis and earth quakes to hail, tornadoes, etc.

(Of course these assume things like the “aliens” form of life not requiring oxygen. Which is why I put loopholes encouraged.)

People should be talking about this more…

AI companies destroying and disposing of books to train their AI models. Not necessarily illegal, but print books are important.

Anyone want to make environments for a FFA map?

Hello! I’m nearing completion on my map inspired by COD and BF. It’s got 150+ weapons (including 10 custom weapons) all with their own custom progression, including unlock challenges ranging from 40-100+ elims split between 2-6 custom challenges with custom requirements like level, airborne, headshot, etc. the map is extremely deep in progression with over 7,000 possible levels to earn on weapons. I’ve made a fully custom main menu for the map, so rather than running around in the world, your loadout and everything is set within a UI

The only thing missing is the map environments, which I suck at. I’m really struggling to make environments that are well built, have a general theme, and are similarly good to play in.

HOWEVER, I CANNOT PAY (yeah, I know…) instead, I’d be willing to put your creator code/username where the map name is shown (
“Hollow Hills, made by FortniteGamer”) and I’d attempt (idk the logistics of this yet, but I’m sure it’s possible) to make a developer package unlocked in game for you, something like an extra 10 weapons unlocked off the bat on top of the 8 base weapons, and a decent amount of the in game currency so levelling up your weapons is less of a grind.

The environments are 20x20 - 30x30. You would just copy all the builds in your environment and paste the resulting text into a pastebin and send it so I can copy and paste it into the map (terrain wouldn’t be copied, so you’d probably want to send a screenshot so I can do my best to recreate the terrain. )

Im kinda asking if anyone is bored of their projects and wants to contribute to a project that’s (in my opinion) really cool, ik seeing if people are willing to do work for free and just in game rewards for a map that may never even succeed is kinda useless, but I figured it doesn’t hurt to see.

Some games suddenly running extremely poorly

Hello!

I’ve went to play two games recently and realized they’re running less than half as good as they should be.

Ark survival ascended and cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk typically runs at 170-200fps depending on what I have my DLSS set to, and is now running at 70-80 on the same settings. 60 if I turn off frame gen.

Fortnite runs perfectly fine.

I tested expedition 33 and BG3 to see if maybe my graphics card is dying or something because Fortnite is more CPU intensive whereas the two affected games are heavier on the entire system. And both expedition 33 and BG3 run just as smoothly as normal.

Everything is up to date, my storage drives aren’t full, I tried validating the game files, and even dusted out my PC and none of it worked.

How can I fix this?

Specs:

CPU 14700kf
GPU 4070 super
RAM 16gb ddr5

Edit:

Seems like the problem is that the Nvidia app (could’ve been me at some point lmao) had the DLSS override set to use recommended instead of the 3D app setting.

Changed that and I’m right back up to 160-200 fps in cyberpunk 😎

In the widget itself you need to set a desired focus widget, otherwise the entire thing doesn’t work on controller (nothing ever gains focus so you can’t navigate the menu)

However if you use a widget switcher that has buttons on more than one page, what seems to happen is on the second page, no focus is gained ever because it is still trying to focus on the button that isn’t present.

How are you supposed to make a widget with multiple pages of buttons/widgets with buttons when I can only make focus grant to one widget ever?
