Should I sell in person?

Trying to sell my car and I accepted the offer online. I submitted the required documents and information online but the document review is taking a while. I still owe money on the car but the offer than carmax offered is much higher than the amount owed.

I know they have to contact my bank but it doesn't take that long to verify the payoff amount right? Would going in person speed up the selling process? Thanks

Just passed the MSF course and am looking to get my first bike. Lot of advice I get is to buy used and was looking at this. Owner says he dropped it while stationary. As a noob I've heard its better to get something that's a little scuffed up since I'm likely gonna drop it (hopefully not). What do y'all think? TIA
