Hi everyone!
I'm about to inherit a 7,000 sq ft yard and I'm so overwhelmed on where to begin! It's currently a dirt lot with an above ground pool and a very large mesquite tree. My goal is to have no lawn, use native plants, and grow some good. My biggest question is how do I turn the dirt workable? Should I rely on raised beds only?

My orange girl is coming up on 8 years old and has always been really particular. I've tried every food out there and she's only willing to eat Fancy Feast Pate. Recently though she's refused every flavor except chicken. I'm a little worried that she's going to get sick if this is all she's eating. Is this an okay diet? I've been thinking of trying a dry food but don't know where to start. When I adopted her brother we received a bag of science diet and I let her try a little and she loved it but would throw up after she ate it.
She refuses to eat any treats except greenies and refuses any "human food".
Has anyone gone through something similar?
It's my husband's first Fathers Day and he's impossible to shop for. For Mother's Day he got me custom made jewelry featuring our sons birthstone and I really want to get him something meaningful. He really doesn't like getting gifts and I know he would much prefer an experience but our son is 4 months and we live in a hot climate (it was 106° yesterday) so going out isn't really an option and neither is a vacation. I would ideally like something centered around our son maybe something with his name or birthstone. Budget is about $300 but I could be convinced to spend more if it's perfect.
