Improved my resume, still can't land an offer! What could be wrong

My last post on this subreddit went viral, 30k+ views feel incredible also massive upvotes and share rates. But I'm genuinely confused what more to expect from a college student as this is how my current resume state is like. I'd like to get feedback because from my perspective I feel like I've done stuffs what THEY say, and regarding my role as founding engineer the startup I'm in is pre launch and pre revenue now so technically employed also financially unemployed 😭

Galaga X Jujutsu kaisen

I spent the last 2 nights building a browser bullet-hell where you cast Domain Expansions using actual hand signs through your webcam.

It is hybrid which means, no such thing as one mode of playing i.e. only keyboard or only hand signs, it can be keyboard + hand signs too!!

It's inspired by Galaga and Jujutsu Kaisen.

The game uses MediaPipe hand tracking in the browser:

🤞 Infinite Void → slows enemies
✌️ Mirror Domain → enemies destroy themselves with their own attacks
✊ Catastrophic Domain → turns the entire game into chaos

Built with TypeScript, HTML5 Canvas, and computer vision.

Galaga X Jujutsu Kaisen

Spent the last night building a browser bullet-hell where special abilities are activated through webcam-detected hand signs.

Tech stack:

  • TypeScript
  • Vite
  • HTML5 Canvas
  • MediaPipe

Current state:
✅ Core gameplay
✅ Hand tracking
✅ 3 Domain Expansions
✅ GitHub Pages deployment
✅ Basic analytics

One interesting lesson: using computer vision for movement is always captivating to me ,using it for special abilities felt really awesome. The keyboard handles navigation while gestures trigger Domain Expansions. (PS: this is hybrid too, so no such thing as only one mode of playing i.e. keyboard or hands, it can be keyboard + hand gestures too)

Just deployed v1 and would love feedback on the mechanic before I start adding bosses and new domains. And also this is an open source project! Contributions are always welcomed
