What do you think of my ladies?

My decks are mostly on the older side. It's been a couple years since I played regularly. Galea is the newest, and she's mostly a precon with some minor tweaks. Kalemne still has a couple cards from her precon, but not many. Queen Marchesa is my favorite to play and the most well rounded deck I've built, and the Slivers are probably my strongest.

So, am I the only one expecting the ending to be as polarizing as Eva? Let's talk expectations regarding the reception.

With all the rumbling coming from those who've seen the leaks, and the conversations Gooseworx has been having online voicing concern that people won't get what they're trying to say, it's starting to feel like we're getting an ending that will be divisive, to say the least.

The way the creator is talking, it seems safe to say we're getting quite the curveball. Moreover, I wouldn't be surprised if even the theorizers who are right see a lot of the elements they fixated on to build their theories not matter one bit as the show decends into the mental breakdowns of the cast. All signs appear to point to this being a very challenging finale that will not be an easy watch for anyone invested in the cast and their stories. Considering the only firm statement I've seen on what was intended from this show is the idea of finding meaning in a stagnant life, this feels fitting. That said, I've seen a show pull the fun trappings away at the last minute to make it's point before, and it created one of the most polarizing endings in anime.

To be clear, I'm absurdly excited for the finale. Gooseworx has shown exceptional writing chops that have me ready to roll with whatever is coming. I'm just wondering what you all think? Are we getting a Gainax ending? Is Gooseworx just a little in their own head and worried about nothing? Do you think we'll see longtime fans completely turning on it in the end, or will this get a more unified response from the fanbase? I'm reasonably sure I'm gonna like it assuming I have been reading the right ideas into the themes and character arcs, but it's interesting to think we might be on the cusp of seeing an ending so personal it alienates large swaths of its own fanbase.
