I love my Whoop

I love my Whoop. I have been using it since 2020 with one small break.

Over the last 6 months my fitness and weight loss journey had stalled. I tried everything. I’m not one to have a PT so was lost about what to do.

2 months ago I decided to ask Whoop what I was doing wrong. I told Whoop my medical, nutrition, and fitness routine and it has provided sound advise on the next steps - calorie intake was too low, not enough protein, too much cardio not enough strength training for my current situation.

I am feeling better, stronger and my Whoop age is declining weekly. I’m only 3 years off my real age, started at 7 years over.

My weight and over metrics are spot on as confirmed by my Doctor and DEXA scan.

My Life membership works out £30 a month. That is cheaper than a gym membership, nutrition app and PT.

A lot of people seem to be unhappy with Whoop, it might not be for you. Are you really using Whoop to its full potential?

I wear Whoop everyday, I take it off to shower (I don’t like the wet band on my skin). I add monthly manual BP readings. Do an ECG once a month. I add my strength weights and reps for every exercise. Whoop can read my nutrition logs and has identified that I stay on track weekdays and my nutrition derails on weekends. It has provided perspective and encouragement when I feel disillusioned by an unexpected weight or fat gain.

To those loving Whoop what is your experience? Anything I can add to my routine to further enhance my experience?

I need to get new bathroom scales to replace old scales that stopped working. My old scales were smart and gave BMI, fat % and some other metrics.

I am looking at the Withings Body Comp scales.
Is it work it?
What extra metrics does it bring to Whoop?
Is connectivity reliable?
What is your experience?
