URGENT HELP PLEASE

I'm vegetable garden sitting for a friend and after tending it for about a week I stumbled upon the dreadful sight of infected squash leaves, that I believe to be powdery mildew. It literally happened overnight, as the plants seemed healthy yesterday.

I live in the northeastern part of the US. We got a hot spell recently then 2 consecutive days of rain. I understand that the garden is overcrowded but I tried to keep it as it is, since that's how my friend left it.
I've dealt with mildew before, but normally after bringing home infected succulents/houseplants from nurseries, but NOT ANYTHING OF THAT MAGNITUDE.

I am devastated and don't know what to tell my friend, who won't return from her until the 13th. It is not my garden and I am hesitant about treating it without my friend's consent. Please any advice is greatly appreciated.

All I have available at home is neem oil and sulfur powder.
Thank you so much in advance!

** pics 5&6 are from before the mildew spread

Edit: 2 consecutive days of rain, not snow

How does diabetes affect wound healing?

I understand that glucose (high levels of) damages blood vessels by narrowing them, and as a consequence worsening blood flow, but how exactly does it impact wound healing if not just by restricting blood supply that would deliver platelets and clotting agents to the site?

Growing up I’ve heard of diabetic people who had limbs amputated and that have always intrigued me. Thanks in advance all!

Advice on how to care for these please

Hi all do you think it’s possible to nurse these back to health?

Quick backstory: I purchased these little guys together at a plant nursery. I originally thought the reason the subdenudata on the left is purple because of sun stress but that might not be the case after I did some digging - no pun intended - that pointed towards severe sunburn.

I repotted it and waited for it to adjust to the new environment for like a week and soaked it wet. They were both bone dry when I bought them. I’m scared of further deteriorating the already damaged one and I’m keeping it on my windowsill, where it gets sunlight for a good chunk of the day.

Is it beyond recovery? I care too much about all me plant friends and don’t want to give them up without swinging. Cheers in advance
