Heading to Colombia in a month. I need some airbnbs that allow guest in Medellín, Bogota, and Cartagena. No prior arrival or anything like with security doorman. Does anyone have my suggestions to where I don’t die in case I bring a woman over or 2 😂

Heading to Medellín in a couple months

First-time solo traveler heading to Medellín for 4 days in August and looking for some advice.
I’m a 30-year-old guy from New York and this will be my first international solo trip. I’ve done a lot of research, but I’d love to hear from people who have actually been there recently.
A few questions:
What areas are considered the safest for a first-time solo traveler to stay? I’ve heard names like El Poblado, Laureles, and Envigado, but I’m not sure which makes the most sense for someone new to the city.

What is the nightlife really like? Is it easy to meet people, or do most people stick to their own groups?
I don’t speak Spanish. How difficult is it to get around with just English and Google Translate?

What’s the best way to meet other travelers? Hostels, walking tours, pub crawls, expat events, etc.?

If you’re staying in a hotel or Airbnb, what are the rules around bringing guests back? I’ve heard Medellín has become stricter because of scams, thefts, and other issues involving tourists. What should I know beforehand?

Are there any areas, bars, clubs, or situations that first-time visitors should absolutely avoid?

I’m mainly looking to experience the city, food, nightlife, culture, and meet new people while staying safe and not doing anything stupid.
Any advice you’d give a first-time solo traveler would be appreciated.
