Bottom staying yellow and poor root growth

My stalk has been like this for like 6+ months, idk why. The yellow is still hard, but no roots grow above it? I have its daughter plant in the same pot and it’s thriving. Do I just cut that section off and try to re-root? Do I then need to remove my leaves? Thank you!

Please tell me if this sounds like a good or bad idea.

I’m moving out- currently I have a chaotic household with several animals, my two cats fight about 1x a day, so I never left them alone together unsupervised. I'm moving into a quiet studio apartment and wondering if a fresh environment will help them get along. No other animals will come. I'll be at work during the day, is it safe to leave them alone together?

Since it’s a studio the only choice to separate would be the bathroom :( I could leave one cat, but my parents don’t take good care of her.

Rip to my homegirl Raven & F my heater!

I tried so hard! She was sick in her last 5 months, bloating, but I managed to “heal” her enough to where the swelling went down about 70% and the pine-coning stopped. I thought things were finally turning around. Then BOOM. I went away for 1 night, and the heater magically broke and she died. Fully broke, I tested it many times after I found her dead. I cannot believe that happened, I worked daily to help her heal. I guess she was still too sick to handle the drop in temp. I know it’s for the best, I’m glad she’s not suffering longer. I’m just so sad about it all. Thanks for a good 3 years my girl🐦‍⬛🐠
