I passed my ged

It’s been a long journey getting my GED but I finally passed all subjects and just wanted to share my good news with someone. I don’t have anyone around me to share this moment with that will genuinely be happy for me !!!! But cheers to not giving up !!!!

I currently make about $31/hr working in technical support, and I’m enrolled at a community college working toward an AS in Computer Science. The plan is to transfer to a 4-year after.

I’m just trying to figure out if it’s actually worth it in my situation. I already make a decent income, and by the time I graduate I’ll likely be making more with raises. At the same time, I got interested in CS because of my current role and want to open more doors long-term.

For anyone who’s been in a similar position, did getting a degree in CS significantly change your career or income? Or would it make more sense to just build skills and move up without the degree?

Just looking for some real perspectives before I fully commit to the path.

Hey guys, I filed my taxes on 3/20 and did my ID verification on 4/10. I still haven’t gotten any updates. I know it can take a while after verifying, but I just want to make sure everything is good on their end.

I’ve been calling the Internal Revenue Service (800-829-1040) for the past 4 days, even right at 7:30am, and keep getting the “high call volume, call back later” message.

Back in 2021 I had to verify too, but after I called and spoke to someone, I got my refund within a few days. This time it doesn’t seem as simple.

Has anyone been able to get through recently or know a better way to reach a real person?
