I'm Jay Robertson, an independent software developer based in Iowa, United States. I lead a small remote team working on web and AI projects for international clients.

I'm looking for one person to join me on client calls and help with the client-facing communication side of the work.

Business: Robertson Web Studio (independent practice, US-based)

What you'd do

- Join client calls with me (Zoom or Google Meet)

- Help keep the conversation clear and natural

- Explain ideas in simple, non-technical language for clients

- Stay calm and adaptive if the conversation shifts direction

This is not a developer role. I handle the technical side. You're there to support clear communication on the call.

Who I'm looking for

- Fluent English speaker, comfortable on live client calls

- Calm, friendly, good at explaining things simply

- Basic familiarity with web/tech concepts is a plus, but not

required

- Reliable for short calls scheduled in advance

Time & pay

- ~10 hours/month

- $150/month base (guaranteed)

- Additional $50 per call you join

- Typically 3–5 calls per month

Logistics

- Remote, ongoing role

- Calls scheduled around client availability, often US or European business hours, always confirmed in advance

- Germany or other European applicants welcome; US-based applicants also fine

How to apply

PM me with:

- A short intro about yourself

- Your spoken English level / comfort with client calls

Happy to answer questions before you apply.

I run a small freelance web business and I'm looking for one person

to handle the client-facing side.

I'm not specifically looking for developers — I'm looking for

someone flexible, positive, and good with people. Communication

and attitude matter more than a tech background.

The role:

- Join short calls with potential clients (Zoom or Google Meet)

- Identify what they're trying to build

- Help clarify and document requirements before development starts

- Brief written follow-up after each call (summary + next steps)

No coding required. You should have basic familiarity with web

fundamentals (frontend vs backend, CMS, hosting basics).

I handle client acquisition, contracts, and project delivery. Your

focus is the initial conversations and handoff notes.

Pay & time:

- $200/month flat

- Capped at 6 hours/month (~$33/hr)

- About 2–4 calls per month (~30 mins each), plus prep and

written follow-up

- If more time is needed, extra pay is agreed in advance

Logistics:

- Remote, ongoing role

- Must be available for some overlap with 9am–5pm ET or CET hours

- Paid monthly via PayPal or Wise

Please PM me with:

- A brief intro

- One example of a client conversation or project you've helped

scope (a few sentences is fine)

- Your timezone and rough weekly availability
