Why am I spending hours on tie rods, axles, shaft and control arm but when it's all done no one won't even see it 😭

It's challenging for sure but not really rewarding

My diorama didn't place but my two other entries got 1st and 2nd

The event was the silvercon 2026 organized by the ipms club of Sacramento which is a scale model club. That was my very first competition.

First off it was a blast, a lot of ppl attended more than 50 different categories, all types of model but mostly military vehicles and planes.

I entered my diorama in the diorama category which was really stacked, a lot of really nice models and I knew I wouldn't win since scale modelers main focus are historical and military stuffs but I did receive a special mention a "snafu" badge. I asked one of the organizers what that meant and he told me that meant one of the judge really like it (maybe like badass but not enough to win lol)

My two other entries were lord ionus from AOS which placed 1st and my "blood axes under a blood moon'' who placed second both on the tabletop category.

Overall super experience and lot of cheap scale model kits, I bought a few for future kitbash.

If you guys have the chance to go to one of those events then go for it, it was super friendly and they are open to all kinds of models as shown in my pictures.

I will enter my 1st painting competition this weekend with this diorama

I've been working on this project on and off for the last six months, it wasn't planned to be for a competition but there's one coming this Saturday in my town so I decided to enter it.

This won't be a Warhammer or tabletop competition but a ipms (scale model) I don't know much what to expect but decided to join for the fun of it.

It is mainly done but have to do some touch up here and there.

Wish me luck boys!!

Painting this bad boy for a diorama, even tho I like highly detailed minis, this one is a bit too much, bunch of tiny details everywhere...I guess I won't paint the other 4

Not sure if it's appropriate for this sub but this is a Tamiya tank kitbash into a Warhammer 40k Ork tank that I made a few weeks ago.

Hope you guys like it
