Its been about 6 months since i started learning guitar, i had just been practicing open chords and tabs till now.

Recently started playing barr chords but i cannot play barre chords for more than 2 minutes because my wrist starts to hurt.

I also noticed that i press my thumb really hard to get proper sound.

Is this normal or am i holding it wrong?
