Lately, im seriously concerned sa mga issues ng new gen writers (ineryss, inksteady etc.) For context, I don’t really read much from them since mas nakasanayan ko talaga yung older-gen writers (jonaxx, xxakanexx, Fgirlwriter). So this isn’t coming from someone na hater or super tutok sa works nila more on observation lang based sa discussions dito.

Parang compared before, mas napapansin ko ngayon na ang daming issues surrounding newer authors.Whether it’s lack of research, questionable scenes, or minsan inconsistencies sa writing. But more than that, what stands out to me is yung lack of accountability kapag may issue na.

Based on the posts here, instead of addressing things head-on or at least acknowledging valid criticism, minsan it feels like nadadaan sa pagiging defensive, or worse, parang ina-adjust yung story just to please readers or avoid backlash. Napapansin ko na nagiging “reader-pleasing” yung approach instead of just telling the story they originally wanted to tell.

Hindi ko sinasabing perfect yung older-gen writers, pero parang mas may sense sila of ownership sa stories nila before. They weren’t constantly trying to cater to everyone, and kahit may criticism, mas ramdam mo na paninindigan nila yung kwento nila.

Ngayon kasi, parang ang bilis ma-influence ng trends and comments itong mga new gen writers. Iba na rin kasi environment ngayon, mas mabilis yung feedback and mas vocal ang audience but at the same time, parang doon din nanggagaling yung sunod-sunod na issues.

What did the OGs did right that newer gens can learn from? Especially in handling criticisms and how to actually write their own stories.

In relation to another post about Filipino authors’ political stance, I’m curious kung gaano siya ka-importante for folks here when it comes to supporting them?

Gets naman na for a lot of us, dealbreakers talaga kapag dds. But what about the gray areas? For example, authors who are quiet on social media about which side they are on but their stories clearly reflect certain values (Kakampink leaning), or those who are very vocal online (kunwari kakampink) pero parang performative lang and in reality, their actions don’t align, especially when money or opportunities are involved.

Personally, mas okay sa akin yung hindi maingay online but you can see what they stand for through their work. Mas authentic for me. Kesa naman sa sobrang vocal sa socmed, sumasama sa rallies, ginagawang “kakampink-coded” yung characters—but it feels forced or ginagamit lang for clout or sales.

At the end of the day, I don’t think dapat inaasa sa authors (or any public figure) kung sino ang iboboto natin. Influence? Sure, meron. But responsibility pa rin ng bawat voter to do their own research and form their own opinions. If we rely solely on personalities to decide for us, that’s honestly a bigger problem.

I swear to god i cannot find the title of this book despite reading it twice!

It's a mafia arranged marriage romance, she fell first and she thought he was in love with her too at the start but it turns out he was just making her fall in love with him.

I remember they had their honeymoon in paris, once they got back, she founds out she's pregnant and ML shows his true character. He basically abandoned her in his mansion while doing mafia work. What he doesn't know is FL is a skilled hacker and works with fighting a group of human traffickers whose also MLs enemy.

I remember that there's a time jump in which FL lost her memories and had a new life in a small town. She goes by the name Raine. ML thought she died and raised their son alone, not until he's 2nd in command stumbled upon her as a waitress and ML came to rescue her. He tries to seek forgiveness while she slowly regains her memories. Basically the remaining 20% of the books is just the ML grovelling.

Please let me know if you've read this book also! I can't sleep just thinking about it!💀
