My first Festool anything...

I'm getting the 500 RQ kit. It comes with a 5mm cutter. I use primarily 3/4 to 4/4 stock, but will get into 6/4 and 8/4 with a few projects in the somewhat distant future. I'm also going to buy some 5 x 30 domino tenons.

My question is, should I buy an additional cutter out of the gate, and if so, which one? Corresponding tenons?

Or, should I just go with the 5mm for now? Not made of money here. lol

I've done a bit of cabinet and built-in work for myself and a few clients, so am not a seasoned expert as many of you are.

I have a new client who wants lockers added between the two upper and lower right-hand cubbies of this unit. I'll be making shaker doors for them as well.

The challenge I have is how to design and install the cabinet walls...or, the cabinets themselves. There is a 3/4" thick x 5 1/2" board at the top and to the side of what will be the far-right locker. I don't want to demo it, as I just don't know what the result will be and hos it is currently secured.

I'll be using 3/4" ply with solid maple face frames, but given the size of the doors (approximately 54"), I want to make sure these walls are as secure as they can be. It will ultimately be painted.

I'm planning on using the existing top, bottom, and far-right face frames - any issue with that?

Do I just make walls, and pocket hole them to the bottom, and top, and notch them for the upper board?

Should I just make cabinet boxes that sit inside that board and just give up that 3/4"?

I'm open to ideas.
