The good news:

The back compat version was 1620p / 60fps, the new version purports native 4K 60, Dualsense haptics and trigger effect, and a photo mode.

(Prior media promotional statements have mentioned nebulous improvements to other graphical aspects beyond just resolution but I have yet to see any clarification as to what that defines.)

The *BAD* news:

Pre-existing owners of the last gen version get the upgrade *for free* on Xbox, but THQ have apparently decided to shaft owners of the PS4 version by charging an upgrade fee to offset the cost of wooing new sales via a cheaper-than-on-Xbox full purchase price for new customers buying the game for the first time.

In short, pre-existing owners of the game get the shit end of the stick on PS, while new customers get the shit end of the stick on Xbox.
