After about a month of regular use, my 187 CC Maxi (purchased via Elsa) has gotten better and better.
The photos don’t capture the casual puddle of subtly structured leather.. the perfect sling-over-your-shoulder without worry if the lock is clasped.. the kind of bag you can keep putting things in and it literally never gets full.. that this bag has become in my bag collection.
So here is my dilemma. I am in a full-on debate with myself: do I need it in BLACK!?
Do we feel like black and taupe function the same in a wardrobe? I’m not sure I would NEED black. I know u/RepTherapyIsMyCardio … it’s not about ‘need’ at this point. But I’m really considering if one of them would end up collecting dust.
Do I need burgundy instead?
Do I fork out the money 💸 for another 187 😩 - or go with GF or some other?? Can anyone share to how your maxi has aged with frequent use? Has it got that sag-swag?

this Multipass from Hyper Peter is even better than his nano speedy.. I do not say this lightly, and this is a hill I’m willing to die on:
this is the BEST monogram canvas LV rep I’ve ever purchased.
I specifically say monogram canvas because I have not tried HP’s full leather bags - so I cannot yet compare to empriente leather or P9 collecton.
I have several auth LV bags and SLG’s, so I’m very picky.. and this canvas feels RIGHT. The vachetta leather trim is SPOT ON. The chain with the interwoven leather is not stiff from the leather, it moves very fluidly.
I would say I’m shocked but I have purchased bags from HP before and love them a lot (accessories pochette and nano speedy - search the sub for that post if interested). But this bag hits a different level with all the functionality.
Purchased 7/16 then added a cosmetic case so that took more time, not sure when it shipped but got tracking 7/31, arrived 8/5! (UPS)

With the watch sale happening right now with Doris, I wanted to share some information/education about the differences between swiss movement and mechanical movement (automatic) watches.
I know there are a LOT of options provided with the sale, and that can be overwhelming. Several models are available in both types of movement, while some are only available with mechanical movement, so I wanted to share info for education.
Attached are some screenshots from ChatGPT to compare/contrast the options.
Personally, when I dont wear my automatic watches for several days, I will put it on in the morning and wear it for a little while to let the gears self-wind (maybe 30 min to an hour) and then set the time.
Its not required by any means, but a cool gadget to have, especially if you are a watch collector, are watch cases that keep the watch in motion can be purchased separately. There are many inexpensive options on Amazon like these linked here or here.
Both swiss and mechanical movement options are great. There is not a 'better option' per-se, its simply a personal choice. ☺️

I ordered this watch from Doris in advance of this sale, so that I could check the quality against my two authentic C@rtier watches, as well as other reps I own and love.
Price: $203 x 0.9 = $182.7 usd
The quality is amazing! I'm very impressed with CR factory's quality (same factory as with the Panthere sale we did recently). I do want to point out the watch band is embossed leather, not alligator. I noted this in the original sale post, but wanted to clarify again.
This model is 33mm and sets well with bracelets or worn alone. For me, its not too big or too small. I took a screen-shot of this particular model from the fcty's catalog page for reference.
I chose the AUTOMATIC version. Meaning it has mechanical movement, not swiss quartz movement. If you are new to automatic or mechanical watches, what that means is it runs off a gears and springs, NOT a battery. If you do not wear it regularly, the timepeice will stop working, and the time will need to be reset when you wear it again.
🦋🦋 FYI: about the photo with the insect on my arm - the day I received the watch, I started wearing it to test it out. I got out of my vehicle and this beautiful insect landed on my arm with pink-tipped wings!! I grabbed my phone and snapped a couple pictures before it flew off. I thought it was a dragonfly, however my dad (with the masters degree in entomology!) informed me that it was an owlfly and it was quite rare to see them in the area we live ~ and extra-special experience that it landed on me. 🩷 So I wanted to share those photos with you all!

Timeline: I talked back and forth with Hyper Peter for a bit, asking questions and pricing for various bags from his site. He was very kind and patient. I confirmed my final order with him and paid June 4th. Booker (his assistant?) sent me PSP's to review on June 7 and June 8. Booker was also very kind and attentive.
Critique: I own several authenitc LV bags and always compare them with my reps. I have to say, as I said in the caption of this post I'm impressed. These two from HP are among the BEST LV monogram bags I've ever purchased. The leather is done right. The canvas is right, the hardware and detail are all on point. I know these are not complex bags, but thats where details really matter. When you carry such a simple and iconic bag like the Pochette Accessories, the little details like where its supposed to be double stitched or not - and materials really matter because everything stands out on such simple designs.
I will definitely buy from Hyper Peter again. I'm already planning the Lineup BB or the Multipass which he said they were out of stock on the Multipass so I may just wait for that one, and definitely the Nice BB cosmetic case. whew..

I recently got the Lucky Spring bracelet from another seller - but wanted to try out Mandy's jewelry while she had them on sale.
The Lucky Spring collection Lady Bug RING to match the bracelet (both in rose gold plated finish) and the Lucky Spring earrings, but I left them at home today so I've included the PSP photos.
The Lucky Spring NECKLACE is a stunner... the original is over $22k 😅 so I'm not sure how 'beliveable' it is, but I'm enjoying wearing it anyway 💅🏼
I've been VERY impressed with Mandy's jewelry!!! Prices are great and comparing to the others I bought, I think these are more accurate with the details (meaning, shape of the clasps, logo placements, etc. from what I can find online - no store near me!)

SO here is what I need help with:
I need suggestions on background stitching that will look nice!! I want texture but not as graphic as my framed one with pink background. I'm new-ish to needlepoint and learning!
I made the framed one in attached image for a b-day gift. (link here to Etsy shop for the original art I used)
I used a diagonal/diamond shape for the background, though I didnt totally love it 🤔
I'm making another with a brunette girl with blue background (attached screenshot) and link to same Etsy shop, with the brunette girl option, they have mulitple colorations of this art in case anyone is interested - I thought they were so cute!!!!
For this one - I'm going to frame in a rectangle so more of the background will be seen.
