I figured out how to record midi from external sequencers and feel like a genius.

So I want to setup a clip based performance tool and I’m not using loopy in the traditional way. My goal was to trigger midi clips to control external synths. I figured out that you can record in from step buddy and other apps via virtual midi and I am so excited. Anybody else have tips for somebody on their second day of loopy proing?

I have AUM running a bunch of Rozetta sequencers as well as my synths and mixing chain. Additionally I have

Devices with their own highly functional sequencers
Koala
Groove Rider 2
Ableton note
Patterning 2
Prisim

External gear
Launch pad mini mk3
Launchpad pro MK3 (usually lives on my desktop for Ableton)
Launch control 3

What is hypothetically the best way to control pattern changes here. One thought is to use the beam bros sequencers to print midi to groove rider or to prisim, but I lose some of the generative abilities. The goal is to be able to control everything playing from a single dashboard and map pattern changes to respective parts as well as knob macros to different synths.

I would love to hear about other people’s setups.
Thanks!

I was looking for an alternative to Decapitator because I spend way too much money on plugins and I just grabbed the free Noise Engineering plugin bundle, and WOW the ruina is the best distortion I have used in Abelton. I have the eurorack module version, but having this in the box is NUTS!
