ISO Perimenopause / Menopause Doc
Hi, ladies. For those of you lucky enough to be at the age of going through the “transition” I need help finding a good doctor who understands Perimenopause and how to prescribe HRT. Really struggling. TIA
Hi, ladies. For those of you lucky enough to be at the age of going through the “transition” I need help finding a good doctor who understands Perimenopause and how to prescribe HRT. Really struggling. TIA
I’ve been diagnosed ADHD since the age of 15 (now 43) and have lived my life both medicated and unmedicated. My medicated quality of life is so much better and I personally don’t have any shame or issues with needing to take medication at this point.
But the process you have to go through every single month (or at least I do) on refills is just exhausting. Doctor has to call a new script in every month, no pharmacy where I live will refill it until day 31, so I’m sitting for at least half of the day without meds, most of the time they don’t even keep one of my meds in stock so I have to call and make sure they order it. I’m pretty sure I have the only doctor in my area that I’m aware of that doesn’t require routine drug testing so if I lose this doc, I’ll have to add that to the process (I would pass it, but just one more “to do” and something else to pay for).
I wish it wasn’t so much damn work just to take a medication that I genuinely need.
Anyone else feel like this? I get so overwhelmed with the process that I just want to stop taking them altogether… which is why I briefly stopped taking them a couple of times over the last few years and always regretted it.
