How much of a commitment is the program? I got accepted this year but I'm definitely going to have a few interfering/conflicting stuff, so I don't know if I can fit everything into schedule. In their email sent out to participants, they seemed pretty strict about attendance & time commitment; is this actually the case?

How much homework is there, and are students expected to be on the zoom full time 10-6pm?

Options:

  1. Local lab research program; very low commitment/virtual mostly so I can likely handle this along with anything else I do. developing an AI agent
  2. BWSI Microelectronics (wanna go into AI though so Idk how useful this would be)
  3. Lockheed Martin internship (cyber, so also not AI); they mentioned they'd be flexibile w/ hours but its 40hrs a week so realistically cannot do this and BWSI

Aside from that I am also likely going to be volunteering + taking an online college course ~1hr a day.

Im mainly stuck between LM and BWSI, because LM seems like it would help more with a long term career/actual work experience, but ive also been applying to BWSI since freshman year and finally got into it + kinda interested in microE so.

I am currently a junior, and I am about to get my first semester B in Physics C. I am honestly heartbroken, and I am really worried about how it could affect admissions for me next year.

How strongly would this affect admissions (as a CS major)? I have an extenuating circumstance regarding the class/teacher that I can have my counselor explain, but I'm not really sure how much that can help.

MIT has been my dream school since middle school, and I'd truly be disappointed if it was this that got me rejected
