So I'm a teacher who wants to get out of the classroom. I saw that Comparion was hiring insurance agents in my area. It says in the job posting that no insurance experience is required and they pay for your licensing. Is this too good to be true? Does anybody have any experience with this? I applied, but I have no experience in insurance.
I've dealt with back problems for a couple of years. 2 herniated discs at l4-5 and l5-s1. Started back in February 2024. I was on the verge of getting surgery, but I decided against it. Took me well over a year to get to a point where I felt mostly back to normal. For the last year or so, I've been doing great. Most days were pain free, I could walk 20,000 steps without any pain or discomfort, and on the days that I did feel my back acting up, it was very mild pain. I was finally 90%+ back to normal. A couple of days ago, however, I suddenly woke up with that same terrible stabbing feeling in my lower back. I stood up and I found myself standing in that terrible lateral shift. Trying to stand straight was extremely painful, same as it felt when my injury was at its worst. I'm on my 4th day now and the lateral shift is gone and the pain is not as bad as it was when it started, but still feeling discouraged, especially because I was doing so well. Is this normal? If you guys go through these types of flare-ups, how long do they last?
I just finished listening to Prisoner of Azkaban and I have a couple of thoughts. I've listened to all the audiobooks by Stephen Fry and used to consider that the definitive way to experience the books, but the full-cast audiobooks have definitely taken that spot, and I haven't even finished the series. A couple of more thoughts
- The actor who played Ron in the first 3 books completely stole the show. Easily gave the best performance of the main trio. Exactly how I imagined Ron while reading the books.
- On the other hand, I'm sorry to say that Arabella Stanton as Hermione was the weakest of the main 3 by a considerable margin. Hopefully she'll come into her own in the TV show, because her work on the audiobooks did not impress me at all. Her lines sounded very rehearsed and unnatural.
- Mark Addy as Hagrid was great. Should've offered him the part over Nick Frost. Doesn't compare to Fry's Hagrid, but probably the next best thing
- Laurie as Dumbledore is exactly how I imagined him while reading the books. Perfect casting
- The actress who played McGonagall is grating to listen to, but maybe that's the point? Idk not a fan.
- The actor who plays Snape took some getting used to, but he's starting to grow on me.
I made the switch from Spectrum last year and I'm about ready to go back. I've never had internet as unreliable as Vexus. I'm talking constant speed throttling to 1mb per second every other night. I'm getting sick of it. Anybody else have this problem?
