I can't help but to observe then ask, are most of the Valley haircuts (ie..about 80 percent) "Cuh Edgar Cuts?" and "Broccoli haircuts"? How much longer will this horrific trend to society last?

I'm trying to move out on my own. My family has always lived in Harlingen and Brownsville, but I want to find better opportunities elsewhere. Things are expensive to move to bigger places up north, so I'm choosing to stay in the Valley since I do want to not need to leave.

I would like to know the safest places to live without breaking a budget. Limit would be around 900 a month, with as many utilities included. My job requires high speed if not stable internet to work. I do have UTRGV connections, but nothing to help me with a job there.

Hello, not from the area , we’re visiting family and we’re looking for a family friendly place to see the game. Preferably a restaurant bar with a playground. I’m not sure if there is anyplace places like that here.

she cheated on me within the FIRST HOUR we landed in vegas. 1 hour. 60 minutes. our suitcases weren't even unpacked. vegas itself said "nah not on my watch" and exposed her immediately

and when i confronted her?? she beat the brakes off me. like full on hands. cops came. she went to jail.

so there i was. in a city i just moved to. broke. bruised. single. and my girlfriend was behind bars for assaulting ME

from ojos locos chica of my dreams to vegas jail call within months. wild ride. i'm finally outta that situation, doing therapy, healing, all that good stuff

I’ve noticed lately that the Uptown McAllen nightlife scene feels way different. Specifically, places like 80s Brewery and 76 Bar have shut down, and it feels like a bummer because those were solid spots.
Does anyone have the inside scoop on why so many places in the Uptown/Nolana area are closing up shop lately? is the crowd shifting somewhere else?
Also, I need new recommendations!
Since my usual spots are gone, I'm looking for a fun night out. I'm looking for places with Good music and Good vibes. Are people heading back down to 17th Street, or are there low-key spots in North McAllen/Edinburg I’m missing out on? Let me know where the move is these days!

Trying to see what's out there. Don't have a degree or certificate other than my BLS & community health worker. Been applying non -stop on Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards, checking Facebook groups, went to Workforce Solutions, etc
