I had to do this on my e90 and e36 years ago and I really don't want to get locked out of my radio again (not sure if that is still even a thing?)

1. What are you folks using for a 'memory saver' and should I be concerned about that?

3. Is the BimmerLink app worth getting so I can do my own battery registration?

4. Any good recs for a OBD-II adapter to pair with the BimmerLink app?
