Wolverine cancelled and I have to try again tomorrow

I’m trying to get home to Chicago after visiting family in Detroit, and 10 mins before departure at 7:00 AM they tell us that all trains are cancelled for the day. sadly there are only two trains per day and they can’t guarantee that the 5:11 PM train will leave, so I have been rebooked on tomorrows train. I am already delayed by 24 hours and really hope that tomorrows train is fine. It is about a 5 hour drive. We are preparing for the possibility of them having to drive me home or at least to South Bend.

I was supposed to arrive in Detroit on Saturday. I was delayed by over 12 hours as my train to Detroit was cancelled as well and was rebooked for Sunday morning.

If I book months in advance I could get a flight for under $200. Sadly I think I might have to switch to flying, even if the flight is only like 45 minutes.

Treated worse by overweight peers after some weight loss

I’ve recently lost enough weight that it’s become pretty noticeable. I’ve gone down a few pants sizes and, for the first time in a long time, I’m no longer usually the biggest person in the room, I’m more “average” sized now.

Something I didn’t expect, though, is that some of the overweight people in my life have started acting differently toward me. Not outright hostility, things that feel a bit like bullying.

I’m trying not to take it personally, because I know weight and body image can be emotional topics, but it’s been surprising and honestly a little hurtful. Has anyone else experienced changes in friendships or social dynamics after losing weight?
